It could. The Wire was not well received when it first aired (not claiming that Barry is equal to it). There are so many streaming channels and shows now that I think its going to be hard for anything but a very few shows to gain any sort of traction.

It is possible for Barry to gain traction but I just did a quick search for both shows on this board and "Barry" has 4 threads in the past 365 days whereas "The Wire" has 12, thought that was interesting.

I don't think so. Not sure I've heard a single person, even in here, that has disliked the show. I can see people not being crazy about the finale even though I loved it.

Barry is at 13 pages meanwhile Ted Lasso is 40+ and Succession is at 58 pages.

I think Barry is more of a niche show than those two. A popular HBO drama is always going to kill it with discussion on here over a comedy. Succession definitely deserves the discussion and it's a show that lends itself to debate.

Ted Lasso I don't get. I guess because it's quirky or something it's super popular and Barry is pretty dark. I had to stop watching after the first episode of this last season because Ted's character is just played out. At what point does a coach in the Premiere League start to care about actually learning how to coach? There's only so many "Rootin tootin Vladimir Putin" one liners I can take before I get tired of him relying on the good ol boy attitude to get him by as a coach in the biggest league in all of professional sports.

They went to a hotel room together. They were laying in bed with John in between. Sally told Barry to turn himself in, but Barry said it was a sign from god that he was alive. That's when Barry woke up to see John and Sally were gone. He assumed they went to Gene's house.
Geez, I completely forgot about that scene when I thought about the final.

That was the intent of my comment, overnight ratings for the Barry finale were 700k but rose to 1.3M after 48 hours. The ratings are not indicative of the caliber of a show like Barry.

No she is the worst. I cant decide if dead soul Sally in the forward timeline is worse than "Toxic masculinity Tony Soprano move" Sally is more annoying lol. But her character is meant to be unlikable, albeit almost all of the actors from the class are, imo.
