Seriously? You think that Sunny and Curb were neutered by the PC crowd?

Sunny has definitely toned it down compared to earlier seasons.

Studios shifted away from comedies with a pricey lead to horror movies with no name actors/actresses. All because of money of course

Movie/TV is so fricking heavy nowadays. Everyone seems to be on prestige tv watch. I think that's why people loved Ted Lasso so much. Sometimes I want to wind down after work and not watch a post apocalyptic show or some fricked up family issues. Give me more light fun options. fricking hell the real world is depressing enough.

Two cancelled shows and one that should have been. I would go with Bookie on HBO as an example of good comedy although it has a lot of woke themes.

Curb Your Enthusiasm was not canceled and ended when Larry David decided.

Veep was not canceled and ended when Julia Louis-Dreyfus decided.

It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia is the longest running live-action American sitcom.

And not a surprise that all 3 successful shows have a heavy Seinfeld influence behind them.

McElhenney has a point, but Always Sunny has also been on the air since 2005 and has been on FX/FXX.

I'm not so sure a new show on a network like NBC could get away with similar storylines.

Posts like these are why people continue to rightfully call you a snobby pretentious count. Nothing you said was correct and it reeks of ignorant moral superiority.

You literally said exactly what you said that nobody is saying in this thread you twat. If you are going to be a spineless bitch - which you undoubtedly are - at least own up to and revel in what you are.

FX or Hulu has pulled several Always Sunny episodes from streaming. Not sure why McElhenney chose this hill.

Noooooo. Also, the show is really not funny anymore. They should have ended it already. The missing episodes:

Season 4, Episode 3, "America's Next Top Paddy's Billboard Model Contest"
Season 6, Episode 9, "Dee Reynolds: Shaping America's Youth"
Season 8, Episode 2, "The Gang Recycles Their Trash"
Season 9, Episode 9, "The Gang Makes Lethal Weapon 6"
Season 14, Episode 3, "Dee Day"

Nah. I still like the show. It has some misses but they hit more than miss, at least for me.

But Jerry is an idiot for not acknowledging the real reason comedy is struggling. He's just another bitter old head comedian.

This is worthy of a ban.

Plenty of sitcoms. Just not on CBS, ABC and NBC. Look to the streaming services and overseas.
If there is a sitcom on one of the big networks I'm going to skip them because they won't be as funny as what you'll find on streaming services. Seinfeld is living in the past and I guarantee when his show , and others in the 90s were out, people were saying the same thing that sitcoms aren't what they used to be in the 60s/70s/80s.

People should realize that Seinfeld is now an old guy with his face on multiple Mount Rushmores. He knows that no matter how hard he tries to placate the masses, people would still find reasons to take him down a peg. He's stated more than once that he doesn't give a frick and he's going to do and say whatever he wants. He's not bitter, he's just being honest and has given his last frick.

Name some that are worth a damn. I'm not disagreeing with you. But if they are out there, I'd like to know. We've already covered Always Sunny.
