People who want to use their lump sum cash for something better than a depreciating car, especially at low interest rates. Thoughts?

84 months are a thing? You going to be driving that car for 7 years?

I wouldn't finance for 84 months but driving a vehicle over 7 years isn't unusual. Hell my wife's 2012 Accord has like 52k on it. She'll probably keep it another 5+ years

I had an 04 Accord and put over 250k miles on it in 10 years with no serious issues.

I know people keep their cars for 7+ years (myself included most likely), but people who buy cars with ridiculous loans like that with 0% down don’t usually keep cars that long, from what I’ve observed. I just realized 72 month loans existed recently. 84 is insane.

It's been a great car. I think I've changed the battery, brakes, tires and oil and that's it. I'd definitely buy another one for her.

She drives like 5k per year now since we moved so she'll probably never put 200k and it.

It's how people that make 70k are driving around in a 55k Tahoe

I went and priced a couple recently and it’s insane how expensive trucks are now.

Did the same last year. Been 14 years from the last one I bought. I refused to pay even 2/3 of what they are asking. 10 x cheaper to fix what I have.

People like to treat a car note like it’s literally going to take years off your life. I have a 72 month, but I can afford it, and I love the car and plan on keeping it well past 72 months. Sure, having a long note can be a bad thing depending on the situation, but I spend too much time in my car in my already short life to drive a POS.

This is what your headline should read. No baw pays $600/month for a car note, only dumbasses do
