this evolved over 20 years. I was a binge drinker really then seemingly overnight but not really I had to be drinking when I was awake period. If I was not drinking I was obsessed with how I was gonna get a drink. I drank at work all day every day. I could not get out of bed without a drink in the end

I drank heavily every evening for years. Once I took the first morning drink it was all downhill. The last year or so I was drinking a fifth to a fifth and a half of vodka a day. How my liver survived I have no idea. I did have alcoholic hepatitis but liver is back to normal now.

Its nice as hell. Eminem, Jason Aldean Jimmy page and others went there. That said its like passages malibu nice. It was an old hunting lodge. All that said that place saved my life when I didnt think there was any hope left.

I should know not to spend the time to find a GIF when a thread is already past the first page...

I, fortunately, am only addicted to nicotine. I do partake in an illegal activity, but it's only habitual.

I've been on oxy after a surgery and luckily didn't like it at all.

I will never mess around with hardcore stuff. I know better.

If you need help with something, you should speak with your family and seek help.

I think Ive heard of that one. Yeah I was privileged and blessed to go there. I also went to the PARC at Memorial Hermann, the Right Step and Kingwood Pines from 2006 to 2017. La Ha presented a different view of my alcoholism. I worked the steps finally and I have not remotely considered a drink since the day I went over 4 years ago. That is a fricking miracle. I knew people could stop drinking but to have that obsession removed and to not need to drink to have fun-that seemed like a myth to me for 2 decades.

thanks brother. no shite right? I also learned to give up all hope for a better past so the regrets and shite are gone. My life would have been way easier had I not destroyed it a few times but that is my story and Im grateful for it all because I would not be here now. I tell you what if I had not gotten sober before this pandemic and the year I had, I would have commit suicide. For me to take one sip of alcohol is a death sentence at this point. Id be dead by my own hand in a month due to the obsession coming back. Thank God I dont want to drink and would not if I could.
