Holy shite

I don’t feel connected to my friends who don’t mask

Wow.

I desperately want a small group of friends who take precautions at the same level my household does so we can have people over for dinner indoors again. I really miss just hanging out indoors with friends.

I have a feeling her "friends" aren't missing her company that much.

I didn’t even mention the grief around losing trust with everyone, so thanks for bringing that up. that’s a huge thing I’m unraveling right now. I truly trust no one, and not from anxiety, but from witnessing their behaviors.

Lunatics.

I traveled last weekend on flights through Atlanta and Charlotte. Over 75% of masked people were African American.

It's mainly blacks and hispanics I see still wearing masks in Houston. They've got to have their own news sources that are still pushing the hysteria for some reason.

And of course, some people were always just confused about the meaning of the word "airborne," which is all I can figure to explain the masks while driving alone.

I think it's just direct association with close losses and Covid. The black population was WRECKED by Covid across the country.

This counter to the actual insane people in those Reddit threads, who likely didn't know anyone who died.

I sometimes wear a mask just to mess with folks, if I’m going to a store where I know it’s going to be folks not like me (which is often in my town) I’ll wear a mask, a baseball hat, a hoodie, and sunglasses just to give them that same feeling I often feel whenever I see “youths”. I also have found that folks will leave me alone, the panhandlers think I’m that crazy white dude so they rarely approach. It basically makes leaving the house a whole lot easier.

That’s really funny! I think you have a good idea for a YouTube channel there.

Not sure if you're serious, but the only evidence I ever saw for that widely circulated claim in the news was in the use of widely circulated cluster maps that equated urban density with "black."

I feel bad for the third graders who didn't "test" well after starting their school career during Covid that needed to be held back or do summer school. Its not their fault, or their parents either.

I also laugh that my son's kindergarten teacher posted something about how her son's teachers are going to love her when it comes to math now because she taught them the regular way when they were home and not common core.

I know this is mainly about masks but it did ruin a lot of shite for people, relationships, and addictions increased I'm sure. I know plenty of people died of lesser things because they couldn't get to the doctor's etc. Ugh.

Watching the Stagecoach festival on Prime, cause Willie is on. I’ll be damned at the people still wearing mask outside.

IMO, a lot of them view masks as political symbols, like their version of a MAGA hat.

Then why are liberal white women more likely to be on anti-depressants than moderates or conservatives?

Ruined me but not in a mask wearing sense. Just totally effed up my routine that I’d worked so hard to build that had literally saved my life circa ~2010. F Covid and F every dummy that bought into lockdowns.
