Hum... not sure the city has any say so with riverboat casinos. They're technically a ship on a navigable waterway and therefor fall under a different jurisdiction.
They most definitely have a say so with riverboat casinos, as they are permitted establishments by EBR.
Now, maybe if they started actually sailing again, they could make an argument to allow smoking away from the dock, but they haven't done that in years.

Harrah's in NOLA has seen an increase in revenue since the NOLA ban...

Caesars Entertainment president and CEO Mark Frissora said Harrah's in New Orleans lost about $70 million in revenue during the two years following the start of the smoking ban in New Orleans in April 2015. He and other executives spoke to the task force Tuesday (March 21) at the Capitol.

They tried to claim a $70mill difference due to the ban (which they couldn't prove).

Honest question - if a crime is committed on one of the boats, does BRPD report to it?
Yes

No... but this doesn't really surprise me from a strictly logical perspective.

That the bans aren't limited to retarded governments like NOLA's.

They tried to claim a $70mill difference due to the ban (which they couldn't prove). Then they were allowed to open courtyards that had gambling on them. They have absolutely benefited over the long run.

Name one that isn't retarded. Cheering for the government to have more control over privately owned businesses and the populace in general is what's retarded.

Who's cheering?
It's kind of common sense for a place to be regulated, right? Follow certain guidelines in order to provide a service. We've always had those. If one of the guidelines is "don't allow your patrons to give your other patrons cancer", I'm all for it.

As usual Gravy and his merry band of sheep will be there to disrupt the council meeting with their off-topic nonsense about the BRAVE investigations and SWB getting "Witch hunted".

The frick. There are tons of establishments that choose to not allow smoking on their own. Patronize those. Why do we need the government making broad sweeping regulations for all businesses.
