Does Louisiana just have no clue how design interstates? Any time you pass through a city with a significant population it comes to a complete stand still

I-12 is a main international freight artery.

LADOTD designed it with ox cart traffic in mind in the 1960s.

Evidence: the I-10/12/59 and I-12/55 interchanges

Folks in Jackson are wondering if their long, long stay at #50 is about over.

There is no planning. The geography of Covington/Mandeville cannot support the sprawl. The 2 eastbound onramps at Pinnacle Parkway and Hwy 21 need to be one. Shitty and foolish planning. I guess some good ol baw got paid.

I’m guessing you’ve never driven any of I-95 from Richmond, VA to Boston. Or any part of I-80 within 100 miles of either coast. Or a multitude of other interstates. It is no worse or better here than anywhere else.

It took me 2.5 hrs to get to BR from Slidell after Thanksgiving. No major accidents or anything. I'm taking I-55 from now on.

How is in an international freight artery when the road doesn’t even leave the state?

Because it's basically the I-10 that avoids going through New Orleans.

You're a SHARP one, aren’t you!

Sounds like you would fit right in with the LADOTD design engineers.

You guys always complain about traffic. When you are older and have traveled more of the interstates in our country you will know that Louisiana isn't unique in having horrible drivers and congested traffic

As long as public transportation is horribly managed and designed, and it carries the stigma that public transportation is for “the poors,” traffic will be a problem.

I stay my arse in Mandeville this time of year, especially during daylight hours.

East and West on 12 is horrid.
North on 190 abover Fairway is just as bad along with north and south on 190 above 12.
21 is actually much improved since the construction but it’s still a cluster.

The powers that be need to make that Mud and Bureaucracy class a prerequisite for all American civil engineers just in case they end up working in Louisiana.

He pointed out you probably live around the Sharp Road/Hwy 59 improvement but you didn’t get it.

Sorry, what was your question?

The bridge on I12 over the tchefuncte river is a complete traffic arse rape for some reason. Supposed to be widened at some point.

190 N from Mande to Cov is bad most nights but at least they’re trying to put in new changes to improve.

22 west from Mande to Madisonville - frick that shite.
