I was racking my brain on the way home trying to think of anytime I had a negative interaction in public with a Mexican, and now I'm pretty sure that Mexicans are batting a thousand.

I own a delivery business, and Mexicans collectively are the most pleasant and least high-strung, in comparison to white people and black people and Korean people.

Mexicans are also the main ones I see at the convenience store early in the morning fueling up or buying breakfast and lunch at the same time.

I know that when a lot of people on this board pictures a Mexican, their brain goes straight to cartel runner with face tattoos. That's probably not completely rational.

What can I say, I must admit it. I LOVE MEXICANS!!!!!!!

He was a half Mexican and we were in school, like seventh grade or something.

He made a joke about my mom and I pushed him in a mud puddle. He was wearing a slick, all white outfit. He ran crying to his older brother and we had a tussle. There was no clear winner, despite his brother being three years older than me.

Other than that, no......I've pretty much gotten along with all of them I've ever dealt with.

ETA: I was actually friends with the dude I pushed in the puddle. They lived like a half mile from the school, and I'd go to their house often. His mom cooked some damn good "Mexican food", which to them was just, ya know......food.

No, I must admit that my perspective is limited. I've never seen more than 50 Mexicans at once.

I’d be smiling a lot more too if I wasn’t paying taxes on my income.

One of the children I teach lost his grandfather when cartel members shot through the door of their apartment. The people they were targeting had moved out and my student's family had recently moved in.

This is a legitimate issue. Also don't forget about school districts having to spend an arse ton more money on ESOL teachers and ESOL classes.

But there's an economic trade-off. I'm no economist and I'm not claiming it's an equal trade-off, but America is getting older and we need more working-age people to keep the gears turning and the machine going. And also the more Mexicans working in poultry plants and the fields, the cheaper your chicken and fruit is at the grocery store.
