That's a Yorktown-class, for sure, so it's either Yorktown (CV-5), Enterprise (CV-6) or Hornet (CV-8) - not sure from the model how we're supposed to tell without the number or something like ungainly B-25s on the deck.

That's why I posted it like that. Heck, I figured that would have too easy. It is the Hornet (CV8). Now, can you tell me the camo scheme?

Name: AB 41
Country: Italy
Era: WWII. The one in your pic looks to be in North Africa.

AB series (40-41-43) - Italian, WWII.

ETA: It's not a 40, the gun is wrong. I defer to Darth if he says, definitively AB41 over AB43.

I think that's a German Opel Truck. I'm guessing it's a command truck or as we called them in my time a TOC (tactical operations commnad) vehicle.

Whew. I knew it was an Opel. That was the main German truck of the war. But I was guessing big time on it's use. I even started to guess it was one of their mobile gas chambers.

Here, try this one....

Type / model / Country of Origin

Bonus: Have US forced faced this vehicle and if so, in what war?

The top one (which looks almost identical to the model I have at home) is a production version of the Pz. Mk V "Panther". The one on the bottom is a conceptual drawing of what would have been the "Panther II" but it was never built.

Was the concept for the "Panther II" to mount an 88mm?
