Infiniti's can be pretty $$$ once the maintenance warranty runs out. [I hate the Infiniti dealership in BR especially] But, I think I like the Lexus F-Sport more.

Also, I'd wait until next years Q comes around. Infiniti seems to have a trial/error with new model vehicles. The following year tends to get things straight.

The makeover on this years model is top notch.

Agreed, I was poor. That was decades ago. But both of them (Mitsubishis) were Japanese-built and ran like tops. Look up Plymouth Sapporo. Vintage 1982. The 2.6 would take BMW 308s until they wound out.

I own a 09 Infiniti G37 with nearly 100k. No maintenance outside of oil changes and tires. Holding up great.

Love my QX56. Luxury maintenance is a breezes but corvette guy is right. If you're worried about the cost of an oil change stick to Honda.

Both cars' oil changes are easily done.

It may need an extra $10 tool you can find on amazon or in the shop, but it isn't like a freaking BMW. Now that is a PITA.

BMW maintenance is worth it. Parts wear, and should be replaced.

I've heard from multiple former BMW owners [who switched to infiniti] that the maintenances is a lot more than they expected.

Change out the bushings and other "wear items" in the shift mechanism of an M3 and say that.

Infinities were known to have crappy rotors, but I thought they got that fixed.
They got pretty warped when I had to do it. No turning could be done. Had to be replaced. I was amazed how easily they did warp though. Never had a car or truck do that before

The only problem my Infiniti has given me is faulty tire pressure sensors. Besides that, nothing wrong. I'm just glad I bought the additional warranty because it would cost me about 2k out of pocket

I have a G35 and love it. Brake replacement has been the biggest issue but it's at 30K so u can't complain.

I would think redlands has some stretches of highway where you could test a car pretty good. But I live in South Florida and only went through that area briefly a while back, so I'm speculating.

Good grief, if oil change cost is a concern, don't buy it. Those cars probably go 10-15K between changes anyway.

Was about to say the exact same thing...

If you are worried about the cost of an oil change on a $50k auto, you probably shouldn't get into one.

Seriously, even if its $30-40 more over 12k miles, that's like $10/month more than normal.

IIRC, my stepdads M had a governor at 140mph. Tried a couple of times to get it over that, but it wouldn't budge. GPS on my phone read like 146 or something like that. Unstable as frick over 120. Front end gets retardedly light.....to the point where I was not comfortable going that fast for extended periods of time

I can tell you I'd rather be in my mom's GL at those speeds than that car. Hell, I had a rental Avalon Limited that rode better at those speeds than that car. Stepdad now went back to Audi, and those are just a flat out dream going fast

I have a Nissan Xterra and I've always thought Infiniti should make a lux version. It would be an interesting niche. I've had the car for 2.5 years, 38,000 miles and not one thing has given me any trouble so far. Only fix I've had to pay for is to the (thin) front skidplate which I dented to the point where the suspension was banging against it. As someone else said, the engine is bulletproof. Car is well made. Would buy again, but a Frontier with a manual this time.
