Well, yes, that too. DEI encompasses that issue. Agree re Ben Carson. I’m talking of younger “professionals.”

Carson was born in 1951 and pre-dates DEI.

In fact he's old enough to have been the subjected to widespread discrimination against blacks in Michigan.

End of the day, it's about money and prioritizing DEI over skill/experience will cost companies money.

Mark Cuban, has somehow, concluded the opposite.

Mark Cuban talks out of both sides of his mouth. In the public eye, he says one thing for appearances and to maintain his "brand" and behind closed doors he's a pretty ruthless business man.

“The fearmongering of DEI opponents has no basis in law and fundamentally misunderstands how most DEI programs work. The purpose of DEI and other remedial workplace programs is to improve the process by which employment decisions are made and close the gap in opportunities among workers. They do not disadvantage any particular worker. This is why they have long been held lawful. These scare-tactics are trying to chill employers’ commitment and investment in expanding workplace opportunity. We won’t let them,” added Ming-Qi Chu.

The ACLU is saying muldrow is a win for womens rights and not DEI.

The paragraph before your quote reads as follows

quote:

America First Legal, which has filed more than a dozen complaints over DEI policies at such companies as McDonald’s, Morgan Stanley and the National Football League, is already factoring the ruling into its strategy, according to general counsel Gene Hamilton. The nonprofit, founded by a former White House adviser to Donald Trump, will be “citing this decision in cases as we continue to dismantle so-called DEI programs, which almost always overtly discriminate against American citizens based on their race and sex,” he said.

They're doing this because...

quote:

The Supreme Court’s unanimous decision this week in favor of a St. Louis police sergeant was almost universally cast as a win for workers, who now have a lower bar for proving discrimination claims. But it’s also being held up by conservative activists intent on dismantling diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives, who say it will give them added firepower to quash workplace programs reserved for minorities, women and other underrepresented groups.

This means those who do not benefit from DEI programs will be able to say that the programs are discriminatory.

A DEI manager and HR person just fired me. Both of them were inept, and it was evident that they were pleased as punch to be getting rid of me.

I now know that not only did they fire me, but he also interviewed and hired my replacement while riding in the car with me—another DEI hire.

Tbh DEI is on the way down, but we're going to get gender fluid shite shoved down our throats.

Somehow the new waive is trying to force everyone too admit that thinking your not your gender is the way

I'm going to just do what Al Roker did .

quote:

Al Roker Entertainment of trying to undermine and avoid the mandate by having Black writers only touch up scripts that White writers wrote rather than hire Black staff writers.

“Instead of giving the chances to BIPOC writers as had been the plan, the story editor, repeating a strategy previously advocated and backed by Al Roker Entertainment management in writing, wanted to have ‘non-BIPOC’ writers write the stories, and then bring on a ‘BIPOC’ writer and after the stories/episodes [were] shaped, they could be ‘hand[ed] off to BIPOC writers,'” the lawsuit read.
