Baton Rouge ER Docs have got to be some of the best in the world.

Back in the day, EKL had some of the best when it came to gunshot victims.

this is not true - the police were bankrupting the retirement system - with their overtime that gets counted into their retirement

That’s why they need to hire more cops.

BREC and the libraries have their own taxes, meaning their own money to spend.. The library is not even allowed to spend their own money without major oversight.

Where do “their taxes” come from? Us, right? They run large surpluses. They gave more money than they need.

We need to make decisions. Do we want the best police force money can buy, or do we want the best parks and libraries that mobey can buy? We can’t afford both.

The police cannot take money from taxes collected for the library. That’s illegal

I understand. That’s why I’d recommend cutting library taxes 10-20% and using that money for public safety.

And isn’t it ironic that Library and BREC taxes can’t be used for BRPD, but St. George tax dollars can?

Let the crime rate soar. Defund the police.

We need more security cameras to allow Big Brother to watch everyone.

Then we can choose which political opponents to select for prosecution.

Can we break these stats down into:

!. Shootings of felons by other felons while both parties were engaged in nefarious shite.

2. Domestic violence cases where intimate parties shoot each other.

3. Actual violent crime where legit taxpayers are shot by persons from category 1 above.

I am concerned about category #3.

When will the people of Baton Rouge and NOLA have had enough of this shite and get people in office that will actually try and make a change to this downward spiral of violence and chaos that seems to be eating these cities alive?

it is easier to move to a better/safer place. Even with better politicians and Police Chief it would take years to change the culture.

I got the hell out of the IEJT a few months ago. It’s been getting bad for a while. Nice neighborhood when I moved there in 2008.

I went outside around midnight a few nights ago and my neighbor 2 doors down had 10 cop cars on the street and in his driveway. I could see flashlights shining in the trees of his backyard.

Apparently a guy shot and killed another guy at a former Circle K on Perkins and Michael Delving close to Siegen Lane.
