rehearing is reargument . retrial is new evidence. don't need anything for the former, the latter has rules about new evidence and whether it's new/admissible

MOP is saying she screwed up and wants a do over.

She represents Cole. State SC literally told Cole he has no standing. Not sure what argument she thinks she can make which will override her client not having standing.

He will move again into St George to have standing, yet still keep his metro council seat,

come dig up the roads and plumbing

They’re acting like this is the first town/city to ever incorporate in a parish.

Lipsey and Enquist and others must be grifting some serious dollars to keep underwriting this wild goose chase

Do these guys live in St. George or BR? What’s stopping them from moving themselves and their business incorporations to the city of their choosing if they are so upset about what’s going on?

Lipsey lives in StG and his business may be illegally annexed into BR.

Not sure where Engquist lives but his business model is based on building in unincorporated EBR and calling it BR.

They see their businesses suffering due to either BR being less powerful or StG able to regulate the area I. Question.

St. George should secede from EBR and start its own parish

They can use the Central case as precedent for how this is handled.

Cue one of their lawyers yelling that no one gives a shite about Central.

All this posturing and smell of desperation tells me there are some irregularities that may come to light from this separation. No proof, just a feeling.

They never thought they would lose, hence they didn’t bother to cover their asses on anything fricky they did.

Lipsey shouldn't be mad. North BR will still be 68% of his customer base.

“Customer base”?

How much shrinkage of his inventory is due to that area’s residents?

It’s illegal to do a lot of things but BRPD turns a blind eye to it and claims crime is down.

My understanding is that they were legally obligated to not only put that tax money into escrow but to draw up budgets based on whether the vote passed or failed for incorporation.

They didn’t put the money into escrow and I doubt they budgeted accordingly because, if they did, those numbers could be subpoenaed for the case by the StG side.

Showing that BR got X in revenue from St George and spent virtually $0 in services on it would have been a killer for their case.

This X 1,000. Who is she trying to fool here? The SC said not only does St George won on the merits, the case shouldn’t have gotten to them in the first place because Cole doesn’t have standing. I predict they laugh at her request for a rehearing.

Engquist won't get another subdivision approved in STG for 1000 years. You hate to see it.
