I am looking at my mom most likely being gone before the end of the week. It’s not worth it. I know what she did was terrible but find som...

My current daily drinker is Silk and Spice red blend. It runs about $11/bottle. I appreciate more expensive wines and enjoy them. But I enjoy finding cheap good wines more. ...

Those German women are tough. I’m not sure which is the most impressive part- the strength to hold herself up like the did or the dismount. Most 98 year olds would break a leg or hip landing like that. ...

I’m right there with you. I can be home in bed just a little later than usual. ...
re: Louisiana congressional map creating new majority-Black district ruled unconstitutional
Posted by Wiseguy on 5/1/24 at 11:53 am
Isn’t there some software that can do this in a rational way given the required parameters? It could even give you several options to choose from. One problem is they are starting from the current map and trying to pick and pull from existing districts to create the desired outcome. The right appr...
re: When will plus-size airline passengers get their body size-justice?
Posted by Wiseguy on 5/1/24 at 8:41 am
I agree- airlines should replace *all* seats with seats large enough to accommodate passengers with extra girth. Should probably make sure they have enough space between rows to get to the seat as well.
(I only say this because it would be a dream to fly in a plane with such an arrangement)...

re: Federal judges strike down La. congressional map with second Black-majority district
Posted by Wiseguy on 4/30/24 at 8:35 pm
My favorite part of this is the supporters of this map saying it was based on politics and not race. They said that the fact it would screw GG after he supported Wags over Napoleon was evidence that it was based on politics. Like that makes it a good thing? I get that racial gerrymandering may be s...

Yeah- couldn’t tell if he slipped and fell or if someone else was involved. His face looked like he might have been hit, but also could have just hit the escalator on the way down. I wonder if he had a cardiac issue that caused it. I noticed they had the monitor hooked up. Hope he recovers.

This thread seems appropriate. Red Rock and Blue is doing a local artist show for a fundraiser in August at the Varsity. Kirk Holder, Amos Moses, Zaemon, and Chris LeBlanc band. Should be a great show for those of us who lived at the Caterie back in the day. No word yet if they will serve Caterie c...
