So what? A missing kid should garner more attention than some “influencer” missing in another state.

There would have been several topics if the kid was missing from Santa Maria or some shite.

Anyone with small kids should get these. I have them and am 100% positive they cant get out. Hell, i have to show most adult visitors how to unlock it when they come. Also doubles as extra security against anyone trying to force the door in.

Napping while a two year old is unsupervised and mobile around the house is incredibly negligent

Depends. If the place is secure enough and you’ve child-proofed sufficiently, a short nap may be safely possible if you sleep light and can wake up for any noises. Esp. if it’s also the kid’s nap time and you are in the same room. A 3-hour nap with an unlocked front door - not safe.

I do get that you can nap with a toddler if they’re in a very secure environment and you are stone sober, but there was an 11 month old in the house, as well. How was the baby not screaming enough to wake him up after more than 3 hours alone, whether in a safe crib or wandering the apartment? It would be super uncommon for an 11 month old to take a 3+ hour nap. Things aren’t adding up.

I don’t disagree, but social media is the driver of these circumstances. One gets clicks, and sadly, one doesn’t. You posted it, people are spreading the information. At least it’s being seen. Prayers for that child.

Exactly. My point was that a reasonably responsible person should be able to care for children and get adequate rest. Something about this situation isn’t right. Was the guy drunk/on drugs? Was the child left with someone who is a shift worker and sleeps days, which is basically leaving them unattended? Was foul play involved? A 3-hour, dead to the world, day nap while responsible for toddlers is neither reasonable nor responsible.

I'm surprised there haven't been more updates on this case. Are there still search crews actively looking? Last I saw the FBI was questioning family.

The mugshot of the stepfather has been released, but WBRZ won't show it.

No body found but charged with Unlawful Disposal of Remains and Obstruction of Justice. Interesting and tragic.

Sounds like they think the body was disposed of in another state; I guess that’s why the FBI was called in so early. Poor baby, may she rest in peace.
