I took lunesta for a while. It was very helpful staying asleep but didn’t help you fall asleep. You woke up with a weird metallic taste. I take melatonin gummies now before bed, the regular kind not the Vick’s kind

I’m having some post-knee replacement sciatic pain for which my doc prescribed Gabapentin three times a day. It’s interesting. Drowsiness is one of the effects mentioned up front but if I have things to do during the day the the ones I take during the day don’t really make me drowsy. The one I take at night though usually has me nice and sleepy within about an hour. Fading as I’m typing this in fact.

A friend of mine took Tylenol PM (Tylenol and Benadryl combo) every night for a good many years and diagnosed with Alzheimer’s at 59.
He was having severe memory problems 4-5:years prior.

Benadryl works well for me when I can’t sleep but it’s only about once a month for me.

I’ve had sleep issues since I was very young. There is no good medical solution.

Lunesta impairs my short term memory. Like seriously.

Trazadone has a hangover effect and is hit or miss on effectiveness.

We all know about Ambien.

Melatonin gives me weird dreams for the 45 minutes it helps me to sleep.

NyQuil is old faithful if I’m really at the end of the rope and getting sick, I know it will give me a solid five or six hours. But I am out of it the next day.

If you get a hangover from Trazadone you’re taking too much.

I take 50mg and it helps get me thru the night. If I take 100, I sleep deeply but am hung over the next day.

Go to work, then hit the gym. Stop sitting in a desk and going home to sit on the couch. Eat a healthy diet

Simple natural solution:
Take a spoon full of honey each night roughly 1-2 hours before you intend to be in bed. Honey activates the process by which your body produces melatonin naturally. Doesn’t hurt to exercise either (doesn’t have to be vigorous)

Can't tell if you are joking or not from your gif but I did have someone give me a 1:1 THC/CBD gummy to try for sleeping. Cut it in half and took it about an hour before bed. Slept like a freaking rock with no grogginess in the morning.

I don't remember a time in my adult life that I have gotten consistent better nightly sleep than since I got my medical mari card. Alcohol just doesnt do it....doesnt improve sleep quality or quantity.

1:1 is the way to go…
I take an Indica candy 30 minutes before bed and sleep like a rock. No hangover, no grogginess the next day. They’re awesome.

ZZZQuil

Take two of those and you will wake up the next morning ING feeling like you just came out of a sleep pod in the movie Aliens.

These tips worked for me -

1. No alcohol. Especially as I got older. Really screwed up my sleep, even a day or two after drinking.

2. Establish a sleep routine. Go to bed same time every night, wake up same time every morning. Even on weekends.

3. Exercise. Even a two mile walk helps. Wear yourself out

4. THC gummies. I live in a legal state so it’s readily accessible. Might not be an option if you get random drug tests or it isn’t available.

It's just so damn expensive for the gummies. The pax vapes are a little more up front but go alot further for me (at least for my dosage).

Benadryl is my go to. I don’t take it more than once a week. Some weeks not at all but if I really need 6-7 hours I will pop one. Also abstaining from alcohol does wonders for sleeping.

Dr. Julian Whitaker’s sleep aid and 2-3 delta-8 gummies will do the trick.
