OT Lounge anytime anyone has or mentions tattoos

ETA: I don't have any tattoos but love how they trigger so many snowflakes on this board

Cue the “tattoos are trashy”

Queue all the down voters of people trying to justify their bad decisions. Tattoos (non-military) don’t just look trashy, the make you look unintelligent.

If I were to get a beer tap tattooed above each nipple (one labeled "Sweet" and the other "Sour") how would that look?

It would look like walking, talking sex appeal.

My ex is supporting this. My son was a little confused by her having random new tatts when he would go back home but I think he’s just figuring out that his mom’s a trashball finally.

And you married that trash ball. Or had a kid out of wedlock with a trashball. Either way, says a lot about you.

was just talking with my fiancé about this. A person who is in our wedding has full sleeve tats and it’s going to be a very classy and tasteful wedding but all of our wedding party photos are going to have their fully tatted arms and shoulders in them. I am not thrilled….
who gives a shite about wedding photos. They all just end up in a dust covered book fir the duration of the marriage. Then in one of the participants attics after the divorce….statistically speaking

Never made sense to me why anyone would permanently mutilate their bodies. Look up “black alien project guy” and you’ll know what I’m talking about.

This thread perfectly illustrates the generational divide on tattoos. For the boomers and older Gen X, tattoos were a sign of rebellion. But for Millennials and Gen Z, they're just an accessory of sorts. Like dying your hair.

So? If I end up hating it in 30 years, I'll black it out and then laser something new on top of that. Until then, y'all just sound ignorant. Like your parents thinking a beard and long hair makes someone look homeless.

I always wanted one but could never bring myself to pay the price it takes for good looking ink. I can draw and even drew one I wanted but I thought to myself it's a waste of money. I rather drink that money.

Bruh I’m in my 20s and this just sounds reckless. Absolutely grinds my gears how young millennials (people my age) and Gen Z seem to have basically zero caution or care and then cry like little bitches when life doesn’t work out for them. Who’d have thought?

remember in school growing up, it was the biggest deal. Teachers would stress how if you had any tattoos you could never get a professional job. Or if you did, you would have to have them covered at all time. Now, it's really a lot more normalized. I know multiple people at work with tattoos on their arms, legs, etc and they don't have to cover them. Nobody really gives a shite about it either.

If I walk into a classroom of a teacher that is teaching my kid and they’re covered in tattoos, the next steps I’m taking is to the principal to get my kid out of that class. Don’t want someone so idiotic to cover themselves up like that teaching my child.

You know what is even more reckless that seemingly nobody, especially older generations, questions at all? Having kids.

Tattoos that you can't cover up when dressing nice are beyond trashy. Especially on a woman

Reckless? You mean the whole reason we exist in the first place?

Unless you mean most people having kids too young or before they’re married. Then I agree with you.
