I'd rather stick with the natural way even if it's a little tougher.

How is the imperial system the natural way?

Fractions of 10 are actually a little harder. For example a quarter of 10 is 2.5. A quarter of 12 is 3. A third of 10 is 3.3333333333.... A third of 12 is 4.

, except those stubborn tenths. Figuring out a fraction with 10 is significantly easier, especially when the metric system has a name for those 10x measurements. You rarely need fractions in the metric system.

It is so much easier, but switching systems at this point would be incredibly difficult from both a logistics and cultural standpoint.

If I'm on the par3 6th hole and someone says it's playing 194 meters, that's gonna make club selection way too confusing.

Screw that.

Both are arbitrarily concocted systems. Neither is really superior to the other.

The metric system is the Esperanto of measuring systems - i.e. designed to facilitate a one world government. To resist it is to resist globalism.

frick the metric system. I'm a carpenter and measure down to 1/32 of and inch and it works just fine. Go to home depot and find a metric tape measure, there is a reason we don't use it and never will. And frick kilometers on my speedometer, this country was built on inches and miles.

How is it more precise? Is there not 32nds or 64ths, or even the mystical 128ths?

It truly is, even people in NASA use it. People in the medical field use it as well. Actually saw some redneck losing mind over the fact that this nurse in the ER was using the Metric system. Dude was so lost

Huh? They'd sell more metric tapes with mm markings if we used the metric system.

You're the first carpenter I've ever met that measures to the 32nd of an inch.

If you think metric is wacky, you should check out the 13th month calendar. It would make life so so so much easier.

Which is why we should switch to the Hendricksonian Metric Calendar. Could you imagine...instead of my fat arse running a 5.0 second 40...I would run 36.58 meters in 0.15 Picoyears.
