My acid hangovers have always been pleasant. There's just a general glow to my whole outlook. The comedown is kind of unpleasant because you just want to get to sleep sometimes, but can't. But even after just a few hours of sleep, my disposition was always calm and pleasant.
As far as mushrooms, I never really enjoyed the anxiety ridden come up on them. The Fear is what we always called it. Just a feeling of coming out of your skin a little and needing to get some energy out. I've never gotten stomach problems with them, other than awful, awful gas.

Completely agree about the setting and state of mind.
I ate some at a concert a couple of years ago and absolutely hated it. Wanted to get the frick out of there.
Last year ate some in Colorado with some friends at a cabin in the mountains, and it was absolutely the most elated/enlightening experience of my life.

I couldn't trip around others who weren't on my level.
Don't know why. It's like I felt they could see through me or something.
I always went to the mountains and camped somewhere completely primitive so I/we wouldn't see anyone.

Fun the one time I ate some, but the issue is that you don't control when the ride stops. Losing your perception of time and space is a very mellowing experience.

I love that aspect of it. I only got that feeling on mushrooms a couple of times, but got it every time with acid.

it's a great way to open your mind up and see things about yourself, your life, and your friendships/relationships from a different perspective
last year on fat tuesday, I took a bunch and then wandered around with the st anne crew, just marveling at all the colors and the sky and the glow of my phone when I pulled it out my pocket. it was a wonderful, happy experience

Tent camping tonight. Will only be my second time ever using but I’ll be popping em either when we get out there or in the morning. Enjoyed the first time in college

Honestly, they're not really out in the wild much anymore, at least in the south. Feed companies formulated cow feed to prevent their growth, and cow shite was the easiest place to find them back in the day. An afternoon summer thunderstorm was always a good reminder to go check the local cow fields when I was in high school and college. Fresh ones would bruise purple very easily, and that was the indicator I was taught.
All of the black market ones are homegrown.

Never done shrooms but I did take a tab of 150 mg LSD for the first time a few months ago. It was a pretty awesome experience but I would like to do it one more time since I know what it’s like now, and I can enjoy my trip more this time around. Didn’t really go into this trip with an agenda or anything, just went into it to experience a trip. Would like to go into another one but with a set agenda this time. I had some friends do this and they seemed to enjoy the trip a lot more with an agenda in mind.

To me the biggest difference is the time you have to dedicate to the trip.

Have done mushrooms maybe 10 times in my younger days. Always had an enjoyable trip. Probably the most fun I ever had using controlled substances
