I completely agree having tripped hundreds of times … liquid, blotter, windowpane, mushrooms. I never had a bad trip and believe your mind controls everything. I witnessed some crazy shite on LSD: dead mule on I-10 near French Qtr at 2am, went hunting and shot a flying squirrel, dosed before my HS graduation as Mack Brown gave the commencement address and I don't remember a thing because I was so tuned out, lots of trippy hallucinations listening to Floyd and live Grateful Dead. Shrooms are definitely cleaner, more tame as certain LSD trips can be a non-stop roller coaster.

What’s the difference between an LSD and mushroom trip though?

Length of trip is the obvious one. LSD is 12-14 hours, while mushrooms is about 5 hours.

LSD is a little more "digital" if that makes sense, while shrooms are more earthy and organic. Shrooms give me a little longer euphoric feeling - the peak lasts a little longer. Once acid peaks, it's a long comedown and can get a little uncomfortable at times. LSD is also more of a head high, while shrooms add a little body high to them.

Set and setting have a huge impact on how both affect you though.

I ate some at a concert a couple of years ago and absolutely hated it. Wanted to get the frick out of there.
I ate some acid at a Pantera concert and sincerely believed I was witnessing the Apocalypse. O the other hand I had some shrooms at a Grateful Dead concert and had such a good time that I never made it out of the parking lot and missed the whole show.

fun if you do them with the right people who can handle it. definitely not for everybody.

was at this dudes house a few years back with some friends and this guy completely freaked the hell out. started attacking people (including his family) and ended up jumping through a second story glass window. we later found out he had also done some coke, which most likely triggered a bad reaction.

Odd. In my experience, the upper/euphoric effects of coke pair pretty nicely with tripping. I had been on like a 2 or 3 day LSD bender one time and was strung out as hell. Buddy comes over to the house and insists I take a toot. I did and instantly felt better (for the moment, at least).

I need to try some shrooms one day then. I definitely understand the digital part you’re talking about whenever it comes to LSD. I definitely realized real soon that I was dealing with an actual drug and not something that grows from the ground and I certainly felt that head high while tripping.

It was quite the experience though but I did hate the comedown after the peak. I just felt confused and kind of annoyed because the visuals start to slowly go away and I really liked the visuals. I’d like to do shrooms or even LSD outdoors though if I ever decide to trip again

i think with him it was some kind of underlying mental issue. it happened again but to a lesser degree and he called it quits on the psychedelics. dude just couldn’t handle it.

was like he was possessed or some shite.

Any of y’all ever heard of people smoking shrooms? A few of my buddies apparently did that about 2 months ago. One of the guys freaked out real bad and had a super bad trip

Big fan of the psychedelics. I used the Fadiman schedule to microdose and became a better person. Every 3-4 months, or when I need a reset, I go out into the mountains or Utah desert and blast off

I did a single hit of L at this digital art museum recently and man oh man; what a time it was

Absolutely fricking not.

The best method, other than normal digestion, is LemonTek.

You grind the mushrooms in to a fine powder with something like a coffee bean grinder. Squeeze fresh lemon or lime juice (anything with a really high citric acid content) until all the particles are soaked. Let it sit for about 45 minutes to an hour. The citric acid transforms the psilocybin in to psilocin(which is what actually makes you trip - the acid is doing the work your liver would normally do.)

You start tripping in about 10 or 15 minutes, get twice as potent a dose, and about 75% of the trip time.

Pretty sure smoking mushrooms have absolutely no psychedelic effects. The heat kills the active ingredient.

Yes. Day tripping outside is the absolute best. The trees, clouds, bushes just all come to life and had a beautiful glow to them.

I always found a lortab or percoset made the acid comedown much more bearable. It didn't stop the trip like Xanax does, but just wraps you in a warm blanket and calms you down.

One of my best experiences was waking up one morning about an hour before sunrise with my girlfriend, and some friends who were kind enough to wake up early and stay sober. We took about an eighth a piece and had them drive us over to Thunder Mountain on the Blue Ridge Parkway. We started to come up just as the sun started rising over the valley - no cars, no buildings, just pure unadulterated nature.

Later, they took us a bit down the road to some cow pasture. We snuck underneath the fence and started exploring. I remember being at the crest of the hill in absolute awe. Right above the bare trees sat the glorious sun in a cloudless sky, illuminating itself across the frozen grass, fractalizing into a show if light. I stood transfixed for a good 10 or 15 minutes.
