My biggest issue (no pun intended) is the part about getting pre-board for an extra seat. Should have to pay extra for priority boarding to guarantee an open seat next to you.

No issue, buy enough seats that we don't touch.

Airlines don't allow this! If they did, I'd do it every flight to keep the weirdos one seat away. If you buy two tickets but the flight is full they'll give that seat to someone on standby because technically nobody checked in for it. They will not let you check in for two seats. Or if the flight attendant is stupid or some idiot just wants to sit next to you there is nothing you can do. Airlines suck.

Considering SW is hemorrhaging cash, you have to wonder how long there going to continue giving extra seats to fatties.

Why would you need that extra boarding pass to place on the seat?

It confirms their extra seat so regular size people don't get stuck with fatty's rolls all over them for an entire flight.

TF? Are they all headed to the chubby chaser convention?

Yes, that is a thing, and I know fat women who not only went but were told by people there they weren’t fat ENOUGH.

Fatty passengers never bring up the fact that they inconvenience whoever happens to be stuck sitting next to them for every second of every minute of the flight. They NEVER mention that. They only mention how tough it is on their own self. Selfish fricks.

You viewing things from the wrong perspective.

The airlines sell the service of conveying a person from one destination to another. It’s the airlines responsibility to ensure the comfort of other passengers.

The seat widths are 15.5 minimum and 17-17.8 maximum depending on model. Can I get a free extra seat because my shoulders are wider than that? or does it only apply to mid section and arse fat?

To turn that on its side, do airlines need to redo the interiors of all its planes to conform to the hyper-obese?

Ticket costs suck now. Fitting fewer people on a flight because someone can’t put the fork down is going to get expensive.

What is your policy for Customers of size?
Booking

Customers who encroach upon any part of the neighboring seat(s) may proactively purchase the needed number of seats prior to travel to ensure the additional seat(s) is available. The armrest is considered to be the definitive boundary between seats; the width of the narrowest and widest passenger seats (in inches) is available on our Flying Southwest page . The purchase of additional seats serves as a notification of a special seating need and allows us to adequately plan for the number of occupied seats onboard . It also helps us ensure we can accommodate all Customers on the flight for which they purchased a ticket and avoid asking Customers to relinquish their seats for an unplanned accommodation. Most importantly, it ensures that all Customers onboard have access to safe and comfortable seating. You may contact us for a refund of the cost of additional seating after travel. If you prefer not to purchase an additional seat in advance , you have the option of purchasing just one seat and then discussing your seating needs with the Customer Service Agent at the departure gate. If it’s determined that a second (or third) seat is needed, you’ll be accommodated with a complimentary additional seat.

so that lardasses can buy an extra seat for the flight, then get refunded after the flight? so why cant i buy one seat for me & one for my wife, and then get refunded for one? whats the difference?

The airline sells a ticket to a passenger. They need to make sure that each passenger can sit comfortably.

The nurses at my mother's care facility are mostly fat and they're some of the sweetest, kindest people I've ever met. Don't judge.
