Moved out of Louisiana 15 years ago and it’s a noticeable difference. Hate to say it because I love Louisiana, but the lower end service industry is pathetic.

Lower end service industry is pathetic wherever you go. Louisiana doesn’t have a monopoly on bottom of the barrel assholes. But what exactly do you expect when you are buying food off a dollar menu?

Don’t like it buy from a vending machine. They cost about the same and don’t talk back.

Because our education is worse. You are picking kids or bottom of the barrel intelligence people from the states that rank last in most significant categories.

This is half of it. There's another part to it by I'm not going to say it.

The Estes Park McDonalds was a top 3 McDonalds I’ve ever been to. Followed by one in bumfrick Missouri on the way to Omaha.

100% the answer. They hate you and honestly don’t feel like they need to serve you. They are above being suppressed but not smart enough to ever have a better job.

they told me to have a nice day and ask me how my meal was.

How the frick would you know how your meal was, before you had it? And you're talking about McDonald's. Why go there in the first place. My child could be starving and that would be the only place on an exit.....I'd still have the decency to skip that exit.

Do all demographic customers feel this way?

Serious question.

I really dont need anyone to ask me how my meal was at a fastfood restaurant. Just get the order right and timely and I am happy.

It's not even the entire south. I've had fine fast food experiences in many places in the south including ones not named CFA.

It's really only urban areas and some suburbs.

It comes down to management and exoectations.

This line is used frequently, but anyone who has lived outside of the south for a significant period of time knows that it’s just worse in the south.

It’s a culture thing in the south.

Might have something to do with Louisiana having the lowest minimum wage in the country:

It really isn’t.

I travel a lot by car for my job. I just came back from Philadelphia today and hit up a number of places on the ~18 hour trip. The moment you get past Chattanooga, and cross into Georgia, the whole fricking thing falls apart.
