I saw this guy while I was checking to see if the dewberries were ripe. Is this a buttermilk racer?

Yeah I’m stuck between the two. Cool sighting regardless.

Buttermilk racer.

One of my top targets this year - I need to make a trip to north La. soon.

Get one in my pasture from time to time. Very fast snake. Not a real frequent snake.

This was my first time seeing one in person. Lots of woods and water around here so there are plenty of snakes. Luckily for my wife, only Brown Dekay's have been in our yard and pool when we were out there. She knows I will only kill a venomous snake, much to her dismay.

Sorry, that's not a snake at all, it's a Bigfoot turd about a day old. They do that you know, make turds that look like other animals in order to throw people off or shake them up. Sometimes they hide in the bushes eating dewberries and laughing at humans who try to identify their scat.

Ok...Ok, maybe it's what TigrrrDad said it was.

Buttermilk racer. Best kill it. They are so fast that they'll drain all of your buttermilk before you even knew they were in your fridge. We've lost hundreds of dollars of dairy to them and the damn milk snakes over the years...

A bunch of these at two local parks I visit. Meanest snake I've ever encountered.

Alxtgr loves his disc golf.

That why you didn't answer my email about the hog I caught? Too busy playing disc golf?

Dude, normally I would be pissed you didn't invite me, but I am taking an involuntary break from disc due to loose cartilage, and inflamed long head and a PASTA lesion in the non-throwing shoulder. Glad you found one though.

Literally didn’t know there was a course here til we arrived. We had our discs with us to play with my son when we go to Shreveport tomorrow after Kisatchie.

We walked the little patch of woods right up front then said frick it, let’s just play a few holes. On hole 3 I threw in the woods and went to look for it, and he was coiled up right in front of me. The luck I’ve had this year is just unreal.
