quote:

- "We believe that Wall Street needs stronger rules and tougher enforcement, and we're willing to fight for it."

- "We believe in science, and that means that we have a responsibility to protect this Earth."

- "We believe that the Internet shouldn't be rigged to benefit big corporations, and that means real net neutrality."

- "We believe that no one should work full-time and still live in poverty, and that means raising the minimum wage."

- "We believe that fast-food workers deserve a livable wage, and that means that when they take to the picket line, we are proud to fight alongside them."

- "We believe that students are entitled to get an education without being crushed by debt."

- "We believe that after a lifetime of work, people are entitled to retire with dignity, and that means protecting Social Security, Medicare, and pensions."

- "We believe—I can't believe I have to say this in 2014—we believe in equal pay for equal work."

- "We believe that equal means equal, and that's true in marriage, it's true in the workplace, it's true in all of America."

- "We believe that immigration has made this country strong and vibrant, and that means reform."

- "And we believe that corporations are not people, that women have a right to their bodies. We will overturn Hobby Lobby and we will fight for it. We will fight for it!"

And the main tenet of conservatives' philosophy, according to Warren? "I got mine. The rest of you are on your own."

I hear the far left progressives are seriously urging her to run.

This pisses me off more than any of the rest. Last I checked nobody is stopping anyone from doing anything to their body.

Like more QE money?

quote:

- "We believe in science, and that means that we have a responsibility to protect this Earth."

Trying to con people into believing they are destroying the Earth is not science.

quote:

- "We believe that the Internet shouldn't be rigged to benefit big corporations, and that means real net neutrality."

The internet isn't rigged everyone is free to use it. Net neutrality is just more regulations more government control.

quote:

- "We believe that no one should work full-time and still live in poverty, and that means raising the minimum wage."

Which will lead to price inflation which will mean people's standard of living will be no better off than it was before. Doesn't do any good to make more money if everything you have to buy is going up in price at the same time.

quote:

- "We believe that fast-food workers deserve a livable wage, and that means that when they take to the picket line, we are proud to fight alongside them."

That's because you don't understand basic economics just like your last "commandment"

quote:

- "We believe that students are entitled to get an education without being crushed by debt."

Then maybe you should push your fellow academics to not charge so much for the crappy education they are providing. If they come out of schools thinking like you they are definitely getting ripped off.

quote:

- "We believe that after a lifetime of work, people are entitled to retire with dignity, and that means protecting Social Security, Medicare, and pensions."

People would have more money to retire if they didn't have to spend their whole adult working lives paying high taxes for these programs.

quote:

- "We believe—I can't believe I have to say this in 2014—we believe in equal pay for equal work."

You don't have to say it because you're making it up.

quote:

- "We believe that equal means equal, and that's true in marriage, it's true in the workplace, it's true in all of America."

Equality only exists in math not in life.

quote:

- "We believe that immigration has made this country strong and vibrant, and that means reform."

If immigration has made this country strong and vibrant then why does it need reform?

quote:

- "And we believe that corporations are not people, that women have a right to their bodies. We will overturn Hobby Lobby and we will fight for it. We will fight for it!"

If you don't like where you work, quit. In a free country you're free to do so. Stop whining.

quote:

And the main tenet of conservatives' philosophy, according to Warren? "I got mine. The rest of you are on your own."

That's right. I work too hard for my money to want to hand it over to idiots like you.

Does that include pumping billions of dollars a month into the market? You'll piss off a lot of huge Dem donors if you don't keep the "progressive" QE going.

quote:

- "We believe in science, and that means that we have a responsibility to protect this Earth."

Agree on principal, but government shouldn't have much to do with it.

quote:

- "We believe that the Internet shouldn't be rigged to benefit big corporations, and that means real net neutrality."

Leave the internet the frick alone.

quote:

- "We believe that no one should work full-time and still live in poverty, and that means raising the minimum wage."

People shouldn't work full time in poverty... so we should have them laid off and get gubment cheese instead?

quote:

- "We believe that fast-food workers deserve a livable wage, and that means that when they take to the picket line, we are proud to fight alongside them."

This is one of 11 commandments? fricking stupid. But, if one makes a career out of fast food and can't make it much past minimum wage, it's their own damn fault.

quote:

"We believe that students are entitled to get an education without being crushed by debt."

Then quit dolling out money for student loans that raise the price of education. Your buddies in academia won't like that much either. They're on the teet just like Wall Street.

quote:

"We believe that after a lifetime of work, people are entitled to retire with dignity, and that means protecting Social Security, Medicare, and pensions."

Yes, because Social Security is such a nice chunk of change. Who really considers Social Security dependence "dignified?"

quote:

"We believe—I can't believe I have to say this in 2014—we believe in equal pay for equal work."

Ok, then you don't get maternity leave.

quote:

"We believe that equal means equal, and that's true in marriage, it's true in the workplace, it's true in all of America."

I'm not sure you want to open that can of worms on your buddies either. We wouldn't have to worry about "equality" if government wasn't up in so much shite.

quote:

"We believe that immigration has made this country strong and vibrant, and that means reform."

Actual reform would mean securing the border. First. "Comprehensive" bills are simply the status quo, and look where that's gotten us.

quote:

- "And we believe that corporations are not people, that women have a right to their bodies. We will overturn Hobby Lobby and we will fight for it. We will fight for it!"

If corporations aren't people, then neither are unions. Still want to play?

Do you have the same attitude when it comes to government run health care? It's ok for the government to dictate what gets covered and not, and what people must pay or not? But you still say "keep your laws off my body" about a decision that outlawed NO birth control?

Pay for your own slut pills... or get the cash from the dude you fricked. I'd be happy to pay for a pill if I didn't want a kid. Choose better men and get smarter about your fricking.

quote:

"I got mine. The rest of you are on your own."

"I'm getting mine, and you should have the same opportunity to get yours. Neither of us should be impeded in the pursuit."

I thought we passed a comprehensive law in 2010 to rein them in. Is she saying Dodd-Frank is a fraud?

Plus real reform would be if we stopped covering their bad bets with taxpayer money and stopped the revolving door between the Wall Street boardrooms and the West Wing.

quote:

"We believe in science, and that means that we have a responsibility to protect this Earth."

Agree. You can start with the science that says ethanol is an awful policy, from both an economic and an environmental standpoint.

quote:

"We believe that no one should work full-time and still live in poverty, and that means raising the minimum wage."

Why can't we stop implementing policies that raise the cost of living? Then you'd not only accomplish the same goal, but the working class and middle class would get some relief.

quote:

"We believe that fast-food workers deserve a livable wage, and that means that when they take to the picket line, we are proud to fight alongside them."

Free country. Go for it. Nice to see the left support the First Amendment for once.

quote:

"We believe that students are entitled to get an education without being crushed by debt."

I managed to do that and I didn't come from a rich family.

quote:

"We believe that after a lifetime of work, people are entitled to retire with dignity, and that means protecting Social Security, Medicare, and pensions."

I agree, people should be able to retire with dignity. So stop taking massive amounts of money from our paychecks. Stop driving up the cost of energy with useless regulations that do nothing to protect the environment. Stop driving up the cost of health insurance. Then we can put away the savings for retirement.

quote:

"We believe—I can't believe I have to say this in 2014—we believe in equal pay for equal work."

I agree, it's a shame women earn less pay for the same work. But if she really believes it, she should start on Capitol Hill, where Democrats are notorious for this type of discrimination. Maybe if libs practiced what they preached, we wouldn't have to say it.

quote:

"We believe that equal means equal, and that's true in marriage, it's true in the workplace, it's true in all of America."

She's against the marriage penalties in the tax code and Obamacare? Wow. I'm starting to think she gets a bum rap.

quote:

"We believe that immigration has made this country strong and vibrant, and that means reform."

I agree. If only her Lord and Savior had been given the opportunity to address that issue with supermajorities in both houses.

quote:

"And we believe that corporations are not people, that women have a right to their bodies. We will overturn Hobby Lobby and we will fight for it. We will fight for it!"

I'm confused by this one. Hobby Lobby doesn't make any rules about what women can do with their bodies. Insurance companies, on the other hand, do dictate women's healthcare choices. Did insurance companies cease to be corporations, or did she misspeak and mean to say she opposes the individual mandate?

quote:

And the main tenet of conservatives' philosophy, according to Warren? "I got mine. The rest of you are on your own."

That seems to conflict with her prior statement. The philosophy of Hobby Lobby critics is "Gimme, gimme, gimme." And when they get their free birth control pills, they tell everyone with high copays on their prescriptions "Not my problem, pay for it yourself".
