Hey man, if you don't like it, why don't you move to one of those commie countries in Scandinavia that don't have corporate taxes! Wait

It’s “problematic “ is it? How much of your salary are you volunteering to redistribute to the proletariat?

Yeah, frick you.

Lol that only those earning $400K+ will be affected. It’s gonna be spread on everyone except poverty stricken parasites.

Grab your cheeks and spread them wide. Your a-hole is about to get shredded.

The wealth gap has been a cornerstone of dem tax policy since supply-side economics entered the picture under Reagan. I can damn near guarantee you that you won't see tax increases if you make less than $400k/yr.

Also, people seem to forget how these increases work. If you make 500K/yr, the increase only applies to the last 100k. So an 8% tax hike on earners over $400 annually would only see their taxes go up $8k. A lot of folks thinks taxes on those folks would go up $40k (8% of total taxable income).

They didn't pay them then either. They just moved their money to offshore tax havens. The big corporations aren't going to pay their fair share either way, but they are more likely to, if you make the idea of tax havens less attractive.

personally, my boss blessed me with huge bonuses the last two years because of the cut in corporate tax rates.

i have a hard time believing that wealthy CEOs just stored that money and swam in it like Scrooge when you look at jobs numbers in Trump's first three years. They got richer and hired more people. Not mutually exclusive.

I have plenty of criticisms of Trump and his spending and liberalness, but he pretty much proved trickle down economics till COVID.

You know the biggest problem in these debates?

People making a decent salary or owning a small business acting like they're rich. You're not. You're literally sticking up for people who look down their noses at you.

I hate this back and forth on tx code. The vast majority of people enjoyed a benefit from Trump's overhaul. Why mess with it?

This is also why I will just keep getting $4-7k refunds. Trump brought us into the child tax credit range which gave us a direct credit of $6k each year. But I don't want to adjust withholdings to bring that down because I assume at some point some Dem is going to take it away.

or we just don't hate them and know they pay the majority of taxes and don't see the necessity of demonizing them.

i don't care about rich assholes being greedy. go for it. but acting like they aren't paying for their "fair share" when 40% of the country doesn't pay income tax is laughable.

GDP struggled to reach 4% after the tax cuts. It didn't trickle down, it went into pockets and stock buy backs.

Here is the CRS study on the cuts economic impacts. It was a giant loser.

Democrats don't want to rebuild America. This tax hike, along with these ridiculous "stimulus" bills, is aimed at continuing the destruction of this country.

Kinda how Obamacare was supposed to help all those unfortunate people without insurance right? It helped them alright and the working class watched their insurance rates triple or quadruple yearly. Like I said the working class (not the super rich) feel this everytime so take your shite over to Twitter or Facebook.
