“Yeah they just chose to censure. I slept very well that night.”

He doesnt give an iota of a frick about anybody he is supposed to "represent".

quote:

Allen observed that it was “clear you ain’t voting for him.”
“I’m not,” Cassidy said.

If I didn't know any better, Id say this idiot is trying to sabotage his own party.

I've about had it with this cocksucker.

In the old days, the state legislature would recall the Senator and meet him at the station with tar and feathers.

I saw that. Pissed me off.

Didn’t bother to post because he’s not worthy.

He needs to have an open town hall.

WTF is wrong with your state? Y'all are in the SE and politically you stick out like a sore thumb. Too much border with Arkansas?

At this point, I doubt he steps foot in the stare again and then gets a lobbying job rather than run for re-election.

I’d consider voting for a democrat before I would ever vote for that slime again. At least with a liberal background you know how they are going to vote

Well, assuming these things are true, Cassidy does have a point: "President Trump is the first president ? in the Republican side at least ? to lose the House, the Senate and the presidency in four years. Elections are about winning,” he said.

How much of a lot of this is his own party undercutting him?

If John McCain doesn’t frick the entire country, Trump gets his legislative goals through.

"How much of a lot of this is his own party undercutting him?"

At least in 2020, I would say "next to none." Was there even an opponent in the GOP primary? Trump won a historic but very close race in 2016, but despite a strong economy (for which he deserves substantial credit) went on to a whole lot of losing. I want a winner in 2024.

Bill's getting what he craves: adoration from the MSM. Let's see if he laughs and sleeps well when the state GOP doesn't back his play if/when he runs for reelection.

Too many Edwin Edwards throw backs left in the state. They will die off soon!

While certainly not agreeing with the way Cassidy has handled himself over the past ten months, it is pointing out that based on the Louisiana Republican State Central Committee's actions and inactions since during the Jindal Administration, I'm not sure any elected official or conservative voter should really care what they say or who they "censure".

They shite on the guy for 4 years. The only reason nobody tried to primary him is because that would be decided by the voters, not DC, and they had no chance.

I can't recall the last time he actually had any kind of public appearance in Louisiana.

Cassidy is Louisiana's version of Asa. Good thing for us here is that Asa is gone soon.
