Imagine being dumb enough to shut the whole country and supply chain down over a cold. And the sad thing is I don’t think we learned any lessons from that. A Republican administration is who did this not a Democratic one. That’s even crazier.

It permanently rewired the core of the population.
Watching people turn into petty tyrants loving the control of being able to tell someone to wear a mask or get a vaccine was truly depressing. The banality of it was worrisome
That being said, I oddly have never felt so free as I did during that time. I didn’t wear a mask. I didn’t get the vaccine. I didn’t stand six feet apart. I didn’t participate in any of the madness. And it actually made me feel pretty good about myself.
And I’m happy I got to set that example for my kids. My daughter, a kid who has never got a grade lower than 95 on any test, has never once had even a tiny bit of behavior trouble was sent to the office multiple times for not wearing a mask. And I’m so damn proud of her.
