Anecdotally as someone who works in this area, the biggest whiners are the upper middle class types.
The top 20-30% of income earners. The truly wealthy generally don't give a frick because they have so much money it does not matter or really impact them.
The folks on here bitching the most about taxes probably pay in maybe $10K. The same folks think they are super oppressed by the state but have zero clue how many government services they actually use.

Will you provide a rebate of some kind to the poor?
Otherwise you are basically fricking over the poor badly in the name of your perceived fairness.

Why would I want to do that?
They deserve the ability to participate in society as well.

Don't pay early

Why?
Worse yet, if you're receiving a tax "refund," you've been overpaying all year. Meaning you've given Uncle Sam a 1-yr interest free loan.

Which means you made more. Congrats.

Not really... mathematically speaking it doesn't pass the test

100 percent correct. You have to pay in a significant amount just to be a net positive impact to the system.

The Fed has a 2% inflation target.
Following Trump's election, the Fed incrementally raised interest rates 500% through the end of 2018. The highest inflation rate at any point during that period was 0.6%.
By Dec 2018, we were not only seeing no inflation. Due to continued Fed tightening, we eventually experienced mild economic deflation at 0.3%. That circumstance drove Trump to rightly question WTF Powell was doing.
Six months later, in the back half of 2019 and nowhere near its inflation target, the Fed had to cut rates 30%.
The Fed put brakes on Trump's economy for 3 years. At the same time it doubled T-bill rates -- i.e., cost of carry for US debt. It was stupid policy and misaligned with the Fed's mandate.

IDK about "crying," but the lack of appreciation really pisses me off.

Everyone loves the message board poster that comes online to brag how much he makes, and at the same time belittles everyone else as an idiot.
I can promise you that there are many people on here that make as much or more than you do. They don’t have to rub it in anyone’s face, nor do they belittle them for complaining about something everyone hates, taxes. And the biggest issue is that no matter how much the government takes from us, they will find a way to waste every dime of it plus more. That will never change….and they will continue to blame the wealthy for not paying enough.

Definitely not true in my experience. Like at all. You can narrow that to top 1% and it’s still not true.

It's usually the lower middle class crying about the very paltry taxes they actually pay
And those people have zero control over their tax situation. It’s required by law to be removed from their check. Which helps them to not cry about it. In fact they typically celebrate getting it back

Thanks for the refresher course on macroeconomics that I’m sure everyone reading has taken.
You think we may run into cash flow issues since these “assets” being sold are more expensive to pay back than the ones they were buying?

Genuinely curious what you propose/mean by this? We already pay a consumption tax via sales tax.
Not to the federal government. It has to go through whoever you paid for the goods and their ownership structures to get any taxes out if it. Maybe that’s good, maybe not. But it’s a convoluted system that lacks transparency, and the government is seeking more transparency, by adding more layers of compliance.

Whether they use the services, or think they are getting a good value from the services are distinct issues.
The cost of these services is bloated by the labor providing them that you are basically proving has no accountability. And all it really takes is speaking to one government employee, or getting caught in between departments of one of their agencies to understand this.
