100 percent correct. You have to pay in a significant amount just to be a net positive impact to the system

You don’t even have enough information to make this claim.

And again, the same entity that charges and collects for these services is the provider of the services. People bitching about the taxes they pay are inherently bitching about the value of these services

You think we may run into cash flow issues since these “assets” being sold are more expensive to pay back than the ones they were buying?

Dunno, but keep reading that tightening could end within year.

Bc the Fed was tightening from '17-'19 over the objections of DJT. Then Covid happened and Congress along with DJT pumped up the volume. Then beginning in 2022 the tightening recommenced. So, where is the lie?

Some estimates have the Top 10% of household income as above $216K per year. Many of those are still crying about taxes. I am one of them.

He has massive personal insecurity issues.

Everyone hates taxes. Except politicians and teachers.

Which will make those “assets” more expensive to buy back.

Learning economics is easy, but in real life things don’t happen in a vacuum.

Here you go.

I think whatever you posted is blocked by the work filter

But the whole "giving the government a 0 interest loan" thing is totally played out and amounts to a trivial amount of money for most people

If the govt really wanted to stimulate the economy, all they need to do is suspend the federal income tax for a year.
The only problem with this is people would revolt when they reinstated the income tax after suspending it. And I'd be ok with that.

No.
You were speaking about Trump lamenting the Fed raising rates.

Your Bloomberg source implied Trump would overheat the economy. That take was ridiculously ironical considering we were barely 3 months out from deflation, and in the midst of > 2 1/2 years of lowflation. Turns out, future candidate Bloomberg had reason to convince naive folks like yourself that Trump was an economic idiot.

Your post "Trump wants money printer to go brrrr!" indicates you swallowed Bloomberg's BS ... hook, line, and sinker.

How do you propose we fund the government if not via taxation?

I'm fine with that if you cut spending.

But if you dont, you will pay it later.

The issue is federal spending.

Yes…bc those types think the fed is always printing money and trump will somehow be a bulwark against. This is not nuanced.

I don't think anyone is really arguing for it or saying they love the status quo. I'd prefer a consumption based system but I'm not under the delusion that we're going to have a drastic change in the way we collect taxes any time soon.
