I was a member of the composite squadron in BR in the 1980's because I thought I could get cheap stick time. The same two people hogged the airplanes which meant nobody else could fly them. May rejoin them.

The million dollar question is to whom was Christ referring to with those statements?

That's not even a $0.50 question. He is speaking directly to them.

In the 8th chapter of John verse 31-32, Jesus is speaking to believers:

"31 So Jesus was saying to those Jews who had believed Him, “If you continue in My word, then you are truly disciples of Mine; 32 and you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free."

The million dollar question is, if those Jewish believers were still jews or were they Christians? And what made them "God's people"? Their lineage or their faith?

He turns his attention to those Jews that are denying his authority in verse 33, but in verse 44 He delivers the news:
"44 You are of your father the devil, and you want to do the desires of your father. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth because there is no truth in him. Whenever he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own nature, for he is a liar and the father of lies."

We know they were Jews to whom He spoke because they identify themselves in verse 39.
"39 They answered and said to Him, “Abraham is our father.”

Then, in peak jew-form, they accuse Him of being possessed by a demon and tried to stone Him.

So Jesus comments are applicable to all Jews who don't recognize Jesus as the Christ then no?

A problem I see in the church today is preachers, at least where I am, do not preach from the Gospels. They preach Paul and the Old Testament, but seem to side-step the Gospels. Especially John chapter 8, with the exception of a cherry-picked, "and the truth shall make you free."

I wonder if this is the case in other parts of the country.

Joke’s on them. A flesh and blood Jesus of Nazareth never even existed. Or was he from Bethlehem? Pure coincidence they claim Jesus was born 3 days after the winter solstice… oh wait, that was Ba’al Hadad’s birthday in ancient Ugarit of the Canaanites. The start of the new year when the days start to grow longer.

Have you ever read The Medieval Manichee? It's old, from 1947, but pretty interesting and relatively easy to read for an academic work.

It’s not a boom. People are fully aware that there were Jews in ancient Palestine.

You mean ancient Judea. Do yourself a favor and maybe crack open a history book sometime before making a complete arse of yourself.

Census. Probably more likely August/September, 4 BC, to the best of my calculation.

Which one? And why would they have to travel somewhere else for a census?

You can argue against His divinity, but the historic record of the existence of Jesus is well known. In fact, of all the people from the ancient world, we have as much or more contemporary proof of his existence than most ancient figures.

Most historians disagree with you.

I’m sorry you’re ignorant. Maybe you should do more study. I’ll help get you stated. Go read the writings of Jewish / Roman historian Flavius Josephus

I notice billboards saying any criticism against jews is bigotry.

Why is it ok, when everyone attacks White Americans? Why are the jews a protected class??? I am seeing why they are the most disliked group in the world.

And remember, they aren't an Ally. They spy on us, killed our sailors, and are a huge reason for democrats running many blue cities with their money, Lobbyist and power.
