Legislators should not make laws on dosage. That is for medical professionals to determine.
And, he is being severely disingenuous to the proposed plan. He just doesn’t like that there was a vote to legalize medical usage and is trying to do anything he can to stop it and solidify him not being re-elected.

I’m not a user and think it is the most overrated thing ever, but there is no logical reason for marijuana to be illegal.
Alcohol-legal
Tobacco-legal
Both of those are exponentially more harmful than weed.
Again, I’ve tried it but don’t use it, don’t recommend it, but damn just make it legal and be done with these stupid discussions.

That would be a far more honest approach than “it is a great substitute for every medicine and you can make rope with it!”

There are medicinal properties for lots of things.
Medicinal and medically efficacious are two separate things.
The legitimate medical usage of pot is limited to a very few conditions. After that it’s people dependent on it.

Docs didn't start the widespread prescribing of opioids until the late 80's or 90's, and these "medically efficacious" drugs are destroying the country already.

Tate Reeves has been a fantastic Governor for MS.
Anyone who prioritizes marijuana legislation over the accomplishments of Reeves is a retard and frankly a loser.
I share the basic opinions you have. Legislation supported by the people shouldn’t be vetoed. Marijuana being legalized makes sense to me in general.
But FFS keep the eye on the ball.

MS already allows MJ for medicine. Wife's father was on a pot pill prescribed by the drs, filled at CVS.

That is not true at all. Studies do show the opposite. Pot of the 60s and 70s is not the same as it is now.

Thats fine, theres lots of questions about it and I even started a thread about skepticism I have even though I've taken it. I think questioning things is good, especially when there is reason that the findings could be skewed or biased.

He’s right. You want it for recreational purposes. You just won’t admit it (possibly even to yourself).
Just admit what you want. While there are legitimate medical uses for marijuana, that’s just a vehicle people are using to accomplish legalization.
When you deny the obvious, your credibility goes to zero.
