Exactly. Let’s stop with the petty semantics. Just like in California 20 years ago, “medical marijuana” was nothing more than a way to get the nose a little bit deeper into the tent.

Oh it absolutely does.
I thought you were this free thinker, questioning the science in other threads about the vaccine? Thats fine, theres lots of questions about it and I even started a thread about skepticism I have even though I've taken it. I think questioning things is good, especially when there is reason that the findings could be skewed or biased.
But now that the argument is about something you dislike, we gotta talk about how "medically efficacious" something is or isn't, NOW we just listen to the science guys
What a total, absolute clown.
He literally said he was ok with legalization.

The definition of medicinal is distinct from medically efficacious.
That is a separate issue from the co-opting of our medical system by big medicine and big Pharma.
Arguing that something has medicinal properties ergo it has sound medical usages that should be normalized across the country is a nonsense argument. That’s the OP’s basic stance.
We have “medical marijuana” in Missouri. Anyone can get a card. Anyone.
Does that sound like “medical marijuana?” It doesn’t. And it isn’t.

He’s right. You want it for recreational purposes. You just won’t admit it (possibly even to yourself). Just admit what you want. While there are legitimate medical uses for marijuana, that’s just a vehicle people are using to accomplish legalization. When you deny the obvious, your credibility goes to zero.
Whether or not I, or many others, want it to be fully legalized, is not the topic of discussion. We are talking about a bill that the people of Mississippi overwhelmingly voted for and Reeves didn’t like the outcome.
Also, there are literally tens of 1000s of other instances that evolved to what we know today. If this is the stepping stone to full legalization, then awesome. It’s called progress.

MS already allows MJ for medicine. Wife's father was on a pot pill prescribed by the drs, filled at CVS.
Aren’t you worried he will suffer a fatal marijuana overdose.?!? There are literally hundreds annually right?

MS is doing wonders with Opiates and prescription painkillers Tate. But let’s all get cramps over a plant that it is impossible to overdose on.
Your daughters could get Frat boy Chad to buy them a fifth of vodka, chug it and die.
Nobody has ever overdosed on marijuana in flower form.
I get it. Aunt Mildred and Mawmaw Rhonda are clinching their prayer beads over this and you are trying to be a good boy.
Stop being a pussy Tate.

I don't even like being high, its just laughable that its not legal at this point. If it weren't so easy to grow on your own I think it would be, big daddy gov wants it tax money

Is there a law in MS that prevents anyone from buying 20 kegs of beer and 10 cases of whiskey a day?
There would be, if you had to have a doctor's prescription to buy it.

Go drink yourself to death, bud.
Why must folks assume one cannot loathe both of these things?
I’ve done my fair share of both and don’t think marijuana is worse than alcohol, but I don’t think either is particularly favorable for society.

Why do you continue to run from your comment about there being hundreds of fatal marijuana poisonings/overdoses in the US yearly??
