The Biden administration’s new rule moves to counter a future Schedule F order by spelling out procedural requirements for reclassifying federal employees and clarifying that civil service protections accrued by employees can’t be taken away, regardless of job type. It also makes clear that policymaking classifications apply to noncareer, political appointments.

If Biden's "new rule" is all it takes to make this change, wouldn't it just take Trump's "new rule" to reverse it?

You would think. The way the Obama illegals program worked, maybe not, but this implies the courts will be listened to.

Anything Biden puts in place can be undone by Trump once he's back in office

Yes. It's unenforceable.

They'll be fired.

Pretty sure the Executive can render any of these "rules" null and void by executive order.

I'm sure this can be countered.

It's not an EO, so it will have to go through the APA process of regulatory action.

Trump's last admin was exceedingly terrible at following the APA. See: failing to reverse DACA for the biggest example.

Naw. That's only for EOs.

This is an administrative action, which is regulated by the APA.

Is it not possible for a new administration to just as easily negate or reverse this rule?

Make Vivek the VP and put him in charge of reducing the federal workforce. He has often stated he would cut the Federal workforce by 75%. It would like to see him succeed.

It might save our country.

after I got out of the Army and finished college I started working for DEERS, particularly dealing with DOD IDs/CAC Cards.

needless to say I didn't stay in the job for too long. it was one of the most retarded work place in existence. the people there get nothing done and they make sure to work as slowly as possible and still get that sweet sweet GS employee paycheck.

I remember one time I finished 9 ID Cards before lunch, and one of my coworkers was still working on a single Airman for almost 2 and a half hours. frick government workers with a spiked pole. lazy bastards.

That's kinda how the whole DACA thing played out after 2016 election. They screeched when an EO was rescinded and said it was unconstitutional and that Trump didn't have the power to do that.. They lost..

No we saw how this game went in 2017. They would tie up in a leftist court some rule or EO he tried to change and drag it out for years.

Easy. Make the case to SCOTUS that the 2020 election results were more fricked up than a football bat.

Fraud vitiates everything.

To be fair, the next time Trump follows the laws of this country will be his first time actually.

Joe Biden’s administration issued a new rule

What’s the penalty for breaking said “rule” ? 5 yards? 2 free throws?

It’s a “rule” and not a law so it shouldn’t be binding in any court since laws, per the Constitution, must start in Congress.

Everyone acts like Biden is a dumbass, all the while his administration is the slickest damn political organization in the history of the world. They, in 3 years, have gotten every single thing they could have dreamed of. They are the most powerful organization on the planet by far.

Exactly. The whole "Biden is senile the admin is stupid" bit really rope-a-doped some Mfers.

Good thing "rules/regulations" aren't law so the President can change them just like this one is doing. If it takes to long then just reassign them all to our Siberian outter post, wherever that is.

My only concern is Trump making sure he has people who are going to burrow in deep to find all the landmines. Scour social media etc.

Actually I want Tump to find that West Point grad who has the famous pic of him wearing a Che tee under his uniform and I want him gone.

Unfortunately being able to change rules or override executive orders only applies to Democrats
