My hometown sub on Reddit (for the Democratic People’s Republic of Duluth) is already a circle jerk farm league team of Democratic Underground.
Even by our standards, though, this thread is cringe AF. (And, God help us, these people vote.)
And Mrs. Zwin wonders why I can’t wait to move back to Texas and live in the Hill Country.

A). They're fighting amongst themselves about whether or not wearing one is "culture appropriation". Which, frankly, is fricking hilarious. And,
B). No matter what the Palestinians are calling it, it's called a shemagh. And everyone at these protests that are sporting them, have in no way whatsoever been trained on how to utilize them.

Of all things liberals do, this tends to irrationally irritate me more than most things. Asking for a recommendation for attention, when you clearly know the answer already.
Have a facebook friend who post things to the effect of:
looking for a SOCIALLY DISTANCED great brunch experience...and go
anyone been to good drag brunches lately???
does anyone know of any dry or sober conscious brunches
every response is met with..YASS Love it there...so you already knew...you just wanted people to know you attend these things
...also why can't they just leave brunch the frick alone?

MN is WAY left. Like Looney Tunes action left. Has been for a long time. They were a ”sanctuary state” before anyone ever heard of the term. The Twin Cities are overrun with Somalis and Hmong. The two biggest “industries” in town are hospitals and colleges. Not a profit motive to be found in 95% of the employees.
Then there’s the aggrieved and oppressed service industries in tourism, where wait staff average $40 an hour while telling you they need a ”living wage”. (We have a unionized Starbucks, for Pete’s sake.)
The few manufacturing and trades jobs you do find are, indeed, heavily unionized.
And don’t even get me started on the “We need more affordable housing but don’t cut down any trees or build anything for rich people” NIMBYism that absolutely smothers development.
