We could try moving people to whichever side of the Earth causes it to tilt in the direction we want. just don't putt all of them on one side of an island or it could flip over.

People have lived and worked in those temps since humans first walked the earth.

That's kind of what I was thinking... just build a VERY large weight on the side you want to tilt... that should balance things out, shouldn't it?

Yes, putting Stacy Abrams and/or Lizzo there would do the trick.

The wet-bulb effect kicks in when temperatures rise to 35C or more on the wet-bulb scale, coupled with very high humidity that prevents sweat from evaporating.

So errybody grown up in the South will thrive. We been wetbulbing since birth baw

Exactly what the global depopulation crowd wants.

So why are they bitching?

The sheer terror associated with a few tenths of a degree C (if that, at least directly caused by human behavior if we take a decent number of their ludicrous assumptions at remotely face value) makes me question whether or not humanity is even meant to survive.

I mean, FFS, let's say it is a degree. People are not going to die at the equator, in the Sahara if it is 1 or 2 degrees hotter.

Period.

They had this issue in France about 20 years ago.

Tons of people died in a heatwave because they don’t believe in AC over there, compounded by it taking place during a time when most doctors were on their summer vacation.

Like the Bermuda highs that camp out over southern Louisiana and give us a heat wave during the summer the same happens on the Iberian Peninsula and France. High pressure from Africa migrates under a jet stream trough and brings hot clear weather to the area.

This is nothing new.

Humans’ internal temperature is ideally supposed to be 36.6C, but they can only tolerate a relatively tight band of hotter temperatures

Eh, they once would have... Most do not work outside any longer and are poorly acclimated to the heat and humidity because of AC... Look at the kids, very few even play outside now...

Much of this talk of heat killing is the result of the creation of weak people...

Last year's high temps were extraordinary, and without precedent in my 74 years of life on the farm.

Here is the high temperature data from the NOAA stations probably near where you live.

First is the BR Ryan Airport. There is a slight increasing trend at the Ryan station likely due to heat island effect as the concrete volume has increased around the station over time.

Here is the high temperature data from the NOAA stations in Alexandria and Covington (the Covington data does have a gap).

Note the slight downward trends in both these locations data. No heat island effect.

These data demonstrate while last summer's high temps were hot they were not unprecedented.

Research the giant volcano that erupted beneath the Indian Ocean. You can find it on NASA’s website. It has a lot to do with temperatures lately, hot & cold. You won’t hear about it in the news.
