We've done Wolf several times with and without kids. It's always been a fun trip.

We tried Wayne's World on the Bogue Chitto once, but they had way too many people in tubes, downed trees, underwater limbs, and trash in that place. It felt dangerous at times.

We've been wanting to try the Okatoma since they have some "rapids"

Wolf River is about as pleasant leisurely a paddle as you can find just about anywhere - if that's what you're looking for.

No experience on Black Creek.

Black Creek is a nice leisurely canoe trip. We do a yearly Mardi Gras krewe trip every July. Total trip is about 6 hours if you space it out correctly (and take occasional beer breaks on the sandbars). These people are always great to rent from: LINK /
They drop you off and pick you up at the end.

We has done over night trips on the Wolf many times.

That was our post-finals trip in college. We would take exams and head up the next day.

Consider Buffalo river in Arkansas. I used the Buffalo Outdoor Center as an outfitter. Just did a 4 day Ponca to Woolum, 50 mile canoe trip in early April.
