re: How many people have gotten 15 years out of a car/truck?
Posted by TheWiz on 5/8/24 at 10:16 am
My 2007 4Runner got retired last year. And that was only because the damage couldn't get repaired by anyone because of the age. Had under 200k on it. Would still be driving it, had that delivery truck not hit me. ...

re: Opinion of robot vacuum for your home?
Posted by TheWiz on 4/30/24 at 8:03 am
Yeah, this is something to maintain what I pay people to do every other week; which is deep clean. I have two dogs and two kids. There is sand, mulch, and all kind of shite they bring in from school. I run it every weekday at 10.
Neato was my first ever intro to robovacs. I loved that thing. ...

Safe to spray weeds w/ Zoysia just waking up?
Posted by TheWiz on 4/25/24 at 10:54 am
I had my yard topdressed in early April. Fertilized on April 14th. It has just really woken up over the last 10 days. I have some dollar weed that has been really persistent in some areas. I want to spray Celsius but I do not want to stunt my grass at all. My wife is already pissed enough about the...
more of a frick the government argument.
Yeah, I get that. As a family with two HCEs, several K-1 investments that I owe / will owe random amounts of taxes, and some 1099 consulting on the side. I prefer to go single & 0 for our W-2 work. From there, the K-1 investments and 1099 work...
re: How many of you get a big tax refund check?

Guess I won't go out to a nice dinner on all that interest I missed out on.
I should have screwed with my W-4, probably gotten it wrong, and cut a $7,000 check instead. And when my (3) K-1 investments start generating money over the next two years, that's an absolute mind-F trying to figure out ...
