I wasn’t there this past weekend but Va Tech 07 is an absolute top 5 game in Tiger Stadium. It is the most complete arse kicking of a top 10 team we’ve ever put together. I knew we were the best team in the country after that game.

I have been going to LSU games for the past 54 years. This ranks #1 in my book. Matter of fact it ranks #1 in any game I attended or played in including any sport and any game including junior high, high school , college or pros.

To see eight lead changes in the second half with a rival team and a rival coach , in a home stadium filled to capacity where LSU had not beaten Bama in the last decade at home, with the winner being in the drivers seat to the conference championship and it comes down to the last play, winnner take all, from the two yard line and LSU SCORES and immediately fans are hugging , yelling and even crying - EPIC! ????

It's definitely on the short list and an instant classic. I was not alive for a lot of the classics. My top 2 during my lifetime were 88 Auburn and 07 Florida. 22 Bama will not be far behind.

For those of you who aren't aware that history goes back to before 2003, Ole Miss at LSU, 10/31/1959.

The 2011 game would be much more fondly remembered among not just LSU fans, but CFB fans in general had Iowa State not upset Oklahoma State 2 weeks later.

1971 win over Notre Dame is up there. But few of you young bucks remember. That had national attention.

Best game I've ever seen in Tiger Stadium and if it wasn't number 1 it was 1B

So tough to rank by game. I’ve been going since 86’ and it was the no 1 best atmosphere. Why? Because the entire stadium never ever stopped. It was surreal. Usually there are some lulls (even in the student section). It was just awesome.

The 1979 LSU v. USC should be included on any list of all-time great games in Tiger Stadium. It was a loss, but the only game I’ve ever seen where the crowd gave an enormous and sustained ovation for the Tigers in a loss. The atmosphere was electric throughout the game, the team played inspired football. I think anyone who was there would say it was a truly incredible game.

This really is one of the all-time great games I’ve attended. It was my freshmen year and it was awesome. Still ranks in my top 4 since then (in no particular order):

1979 USC
2003 Georgia
2007 Florida
2022 Alabama

2019 Florida and Auburn were good games, but don’t make the top four.

1997 Florida was great also, but falls outside the top 4.

Like all time LSU games? Because it's not top 20 if we include all teams LMAO...

Hell we have probably had 5 better ones but we are just too hyped to realize it since we are so excited. It was a great game don't get me wrong.. But alot of recency bias going on

22 lsu-bama second only to 59 lsu-ole miss (billy cannon run) and notre dame-lsu (first Irish visit to tiger stadium in mid 70s, Bert jones game, similar atmosphere, loud enough that sports illustrated ran article on stadium noise, rushed field) Fantastic games all.

Good list. Add 1995 Auburn, bring back the magic. Maybe the 88 earthquake game though I’ve heard it was a frustrating game until the end.

2001 shootout vs Arky.

I know a lot write off the game because we lost, but the 7OT game with A&M had several do or die plays as well as controversy and video reviews.

The Tigers won that damned game. It also was Joe coming into his own.
