Has 2 hits to Travenski’s zero in Omaha.

Yeah. Milazzo should be batting in the clean up spot bc he got a couple singles. Let’s just forget what both have done all year and base our opinion on one game.

Is he? He’s hitting .292 for the season, and he takes a lot of pitches. He’s no hero at the plate, but I don’t call that a liability.

Johnson said he is back to full strength the other day

Millazzo has been in the 4-hole these past two games?

He is hitting .292 with 1 extra base hit. That is pretty terrible. Pearson may be hitting 230ish before his ops, slg, and ob % is significantly better. Pearson has 10 XB hits to Milazzo’s 1

You compared Milazzo’s hitting to Travinski’s implying that he was better because he got a few hits in the last game.

I compared their production in Omaha to point out that Milazzo hasn’t been a liability at the plate.

Besides…Trav is injured, right? So does it matter?

You are saying Milazzo should be playing bc he did ok hitting in 1 game?

Are you being willfully ignorant right now as a bit?

I’m saying:
1. He has been no more of a liability at the plate IN OMAHA than has Travinski.
2. Who else should play considering Travinski is out with a rib injury?

Neal has been announced as part of the support staff pregame at the Box for weeks. He isn’t on the travel roster, but because he’s technically been moved to support staff he can still travel with the team. A couple other guys not on the roster are still traveling with the team and in the pen.

Jones or Frey would be your absolute emergency, but you would imagine a dinged up Trav would play before them, unless it’s a lot worse than we all thought.

I’m saying this is a dumb statement. Milazzo looked overmatched against Tenn going 0-3. Getting a couple singles, one being a seeing eye single between SS and 3rd, the next day doesn’t really indicate that he is doing much of anything at the plate.

Is this a rule for the CWS? I’ve never heard of this. I’m a big fan of Neal. I think he is def the catcher of the future for us. Kid showed a lot of potential early in the year.

Travinski is 1-14 since the Regional and 0-fer in Omaha…and most importantly he is injured.

Milazzo is 2-8 going back to the Supers.

That is what I was referring to, I just couldn't remember if he said he was full strength or close to it. I do remember he said that he wanted him to travel with the team to Omaha for the experience before going play summerball.

Assuming Jay decided he was good with Milazzo and Travinski and used Neal's spot for an arm like Little/Dutton/Collins after Neal hasn't played in so long.

Travinski also accounted for 2 walks and 3 runs during that time frame as opposed to AM accounting for 0 walks and 0 runs. Neither drove in any runs during the time frame mentioned. Let’s not forget that Travinski was on fire in the regionals.

If he is hurt he is hurt but don’t try to tell me that AM is doing as well as Trav was to that point. Pitchers also pitch Trav WAY different than Milazzo for obvious reasons. Mistake to Milazzo is at best is a single (all 24 of his hits except 1 has been a single this year).
