Yes, that is the true description of a consistently officiated game.
There was still an opportunity to win, but no Reese with 4m to play is quite obviously a game changer.

Cocks played rough only had 3 fouls 2nd half. Refs made sure they won. Phantom fouls on Reese did the trick.

That is the problem with women’s basketball - even the good refs can’t figure out how to call the game properly.
If they would just call the hacking and over the back fouls properly under the basket women’s basketball would be much more watchable.

Why is LSU the only damn team to get fricked at home AND when we go to other courts??? Wtf is going on? They let them play in the first half and we killed them.
Look y’all can say it’s an excuse but the refs can absolutely suck the air out of a team and that’s what I saw. They single handily deflated this team and we had no bench to go to like SC did to change up their game and get back into it.
But that doesn’t give the refs an excuse to call the game one sided like they did in the second half. Take refs out of these games!!! All of these game! This was our game and the house was rocking, frick these clowns! I can’t stand any of these refs or umpires in our game. They get in the way more than anything most of the time,

I hate to bitch about the officiating but I'm bitching about the officiating.
This time it had a material impact on the game, and not in a good way for our ladies.

I quit watching after that no call. That dude didn't even have his arms up in the air to try and pretend to not foul. He just straight up put his arms like bars over Reese, which is a blatant foul 100 out of 100 times. Nope, no call again on them. I changed the channel.
The SEC is really good at fixing games. REALLY GOOD.
Good news is that if LSU plays USCe in the tourney, it won't be corrupt SEC refs.

Loser mentality to blame the officials for the loss. We had opportunities to win the game just didn't cash in on the plays. I hate it when fans blame the refs, the refs were not the reason we lost. They were not the reason we gave up 2 3's at the end of the first and second quarter. They were not the reason we turned the ball over which led to Reese picking up 2 big fouls. They were not the reason Williams had an off shooting night.
Any of those things don't happen and we likely win the game. Williams will not have another shooting night like tonight where shes 1/10 from 3. If we get another chance I'd put $$ on it that she'd be arguably our best offensive option that game. She is too good.

But they were reason Angel fouled out because they called two horrendous calls on her and thus she was out of the game with 5. fouls. Meanwhile they let South Carolina’s big girl bang around as much as she wanted.
When you take an All American out of the game with bad foul calls, you have affected the game.
And at the same time the same ref that gleefully called a charge call on LSU when driving to the goal then choked on her whistle when South Carolina did the same and allowed them to have a wide open 3 point shot to take the lead with 2 minutes left in the game.

You do not lose the game because of the ref calling a foul on Reese whether its a bad call or not. Blaming the refs is a loser mentality. Bad calls are going to happen. They had opportunities to win the game they just didn't make the plays. USCe was the better team in the second half, they made the plays down the stretch we didn't.

Ignoring the other vids in this thread with blatant fouls....
They run the exact same type of play, with an obvious foul, no call, and make a three to take the lead.
LSU runs the same thing, foul is called.
LSU "fans" come to defend the blatant cheating.
Both teams "made the play", only one was allowed by the refs. This was repeated the entire second half. The officials completely changed they way they officiated the game and it was noticeable. Yet USCe biggest offender had only one foul called on him all game. There are two replays in this thread where he commits two blatant fouls and none were called.
Dawn Staley isn't going to scissor you for sticking up for her. Sorry.
