60 seconds in plain water, then kill it and add seasonings- per the cracker.

Couple minutes bruh. Shells should separate quick. If your stove is electric, move them off that burner for the soak.

I cook very small batches for my wife pretty often.

I use a small sauce pan and add seasoning liberally. Get to a boil, add the shrimp and cut the heat off around 2 minutes. It barely gets back to a boil before I'm finished.

Dump some ice in and let them soak for 15-20 minutes.

I'm not even a fan of that guy, but his shrimp boiling recipe works great.

When they turn pink, they are done. Stop the cook within two minutes of that. One minute would be better.

I am with you here MD.
Nothing worse than overcooked, un-peelable shrimp.
Especially headless, will cook super fast.

Doesn't he add ice to cool? Might be wrong on that.

Boil plain water, throw shrimp in, cook for 60 seconds, throw ice in it to lower temp to 150, throw seasoning in, soak

thats easy, put 1 gallon of seasoned water in a pot, get water to a rapid rolling boil, then turn off fire, and drop in the shrimp while stirring, it takes roughly 1 minute to fully cook, then let soak for a few minutes and then eat

A couple of minutes is way too long unless you want rubbery shrimp.

The stalekracker method is surprisingly good.

But for an indoor boil it’s just as easy to get it to a rolling boil, cut the heat and put the shrimp in (don’t turn the heat back on). Let it sit for 30 seconds add cool tap water to cool it down further and then season and soak.

I do this weekly but with “fresh shrimp” with heads. Season your water, bring to boil, dump shrimp in, when it comes back up to a boil, boil for 60 seconds, cut off the heat, put in some frozen ears of corn and let soak for 15-20minutes.

Completely disagree. People way over-think this too much. It's why I always stay out of boiling threads. The "boil for 19.7 seconds then drop a medium-heavy glacier in" crowd comes in chirping about muh rubbery shrimp.

It's laughable.
