Obama started the killing of the Tea Party. The IRS and other alphabet agencies targeted it.

Trump did for the Republican establishment what it couldn’t do on its own in killing the Tea Party and its demands for small, constitutional government.

Trumpism destroyed the last vestiges of fiscal conservatism.

They did it. We're all socialists now.

You need to ask yourself why,

It's very simple. You can't be part of the federal government at the highest level and also want to kill it/shrink it/starve it/take away power from it.

Nobody can.

That's why Trump talked so big about draining the swamp and didn't drain anything. He can't. Nobody can from the inside.

No matter how populist ya'll become, all that's going to happen is that people are going to talk big like Trump and underdeliver about deconstructing the machine. The next bullshitter y'all will champion will be Ramaswamey.

Unless you accept that there's no "draining the swamp" or "burning down the government and starting again," except as a fantasy for people who want to appeal to your crowd to use to manipulate you, you're going to be continually disappointed.

If you understood that the name of the game is controlling the "Establishment" instead of trying to overcome it, you might have a chance.

Where were all of y'all when most kids were reading Animal farm in 8th grade?

That will be entertaining.

What will be hilarious are the frauds in "conservative" media struggling to survive without a click machine like Trump to talk about 24/7

if Trump loses you think there will be less for conservative media to talk about?

It's going to be difficult for many to transition without Trump. Too many have based their careers entirely on Trump

that is tough to believe

as long as there is a Democrat in the WH there will be a conservative media shredding him/her

Rush opened the door a crack with WJC, the internet blew it wide open

the reason Trump is so polarizing is both sides of the MSM hate/love him and a huge chunk of the independent media love him

post Trump the tough part is finding another polarizing figure on the right that has appeal.

many uni-party puppets have been exposed and we may be reduced to cajun john wayne wannabe types trying to climb

FreedomWorks leaders, for example, still believed in free trade, small government and a robust merit-based immigration system. Increasingly, however, those positions clashed with a Trump-aligned membership who called for tariffs on imported goods and a wall to keep immigrants out

I'm guessing he is a NeverTrumper as he readily uses flawed logic to attack Trump. He supports "merit based immigration" and attacks MAGA for wanting a wall. It's obvious that the wall is to stop illegal immigration. Like all the arguments from leftists, he is conflating legal immigration and illegal immigration to push his own narrative. MAGA supports merit-based immigration for areas of need and eliminating illegal immigration. Maybe FreedomWorks wouldn't have collapsed if they understood the harm of illegal immigration.

Besides being dishonest, he is naive for thinking free trade can exist when only 1 side engages in free trade. Intentionally handicapping yourself in trade negotiations is dumb. Sometimes you just have to recognize reality instead of pretending everyone follows your utopian principles.

Trump did add to much to the debt, but I'm not foolish enough to believe any republican would have done it differently during covid. No politician would have told the American people that they would just have to starve and lose their homes because their governor locked down the state, especially a few months before an election. Anyone trying to argue differently isn't using common sense.

The Tea Party was destroyed by Obama and the GOPe, the same GOPe now telling us MAGA is bad. Many people in here lamenting the closing of FreedomWorks also support the dissolution of MAGA, which doesn't make any sense as it is the same people attacking both groups.

Both sides are not the same.

One side is both sides of the UNIPARTY that is purposely re-distributing wealth into their own pockets and their Globalist Cartel Overlords that wants to put everyone in bondage.

They ship our manufacturing overseas and collapsing the $USD on purpose to usher in digital currency / CBDC’s.

The other side of our political system is MAGA movement that the UNIPARTY is afraid to Death can change the course of history if they win.

MAGA brought some manufacturing home
Created rea jobs and re-negotiated trade deals that were one-sided against the USA.
MAGA was in process to even the playing Field with NATO & UN spending, which again Was tilted against the USA.

He was being blocked in every direction and from within to really level the playing field and balance budgets etc….

MAGA was doing so good that the UNIPARTY RELEASED A BIO-WEAPON that forced him to increase the debt and destroy his lasting legacy of growth for the USA.

Idiots on this board that lack critical thinking just generically throw out there “the debt spending” and try to compare the political parties as the same, which is 100% INCORRECT.

So I come here to correct any of those idiots that decide to ignore the facts.

Of course you can. You would. I would too. Milei is doing it now in Argentina.

To do it in the US, you most likely have to NOT CARE about the threats against your life, or the lives of family members, if you do.

There is no other reasonable explanation of watching forty years of this behavior from elected officials, who only revert to their campaign thoughts after they leave office.

One of these days people will realize these Republican "movements" and such are just name harvesting for spamming political scams.
