Thanks for the 6:27 pm update. Really sucks that other states are handling this better than Louisiana, but it's not a surprise.

At least find someone with a pulse ox — many nurses own their own. Orngo get one — or rather have wife do it. ASAP.

Nope, never had pneumonia so I’m not sure how it feels. I really don’t think I’m so bad that I need immediate attention though. I’ll probably go back Monday though. I’d get an oximeter but neither me nor my wife can get out to get one right now because she’s starting to get sick too so out of an abundance of caution neither one of us should be getting out in public.

This is a real bad mfer and it moves lightening fast. You have COVID based on that description.

Tell them you had direct exposure to someone who tested positive and force them to give you a test. You need an antibiotic shot. NO Steriods and NO Ibuprofen.

Then order one from online. It's a really important tool for stuff like pneumonia. I've had one ever since and when I get even bronchitis I monitor it. Pneumonia can scar the shite out of your lungs.

Call a friend and have them leave it at your door. Or think of a nurse or np or P.A. friend who will have one for you to borrow.

Quick google search — less than 95 Is “low”.

A few guys on the poly board are saying clinics in Alabama are already treating with the meds Trump mentioned and Other countries have been using. From my understanding they are pretty basic drugs that are not terribly hard to come by. Calling and trying to get a script might not be a terrible idea now that it appears American Doctors are using them.

Some of the folks who were in my group are on the new Trump drug and they are feeling better today.

Yeah a younger healthy person should be in the high 90s at rest.

No, not that I know of. I’m awaiting my test results and fingers crossed I’m negative.

I don't recall my exact number, I think maybe 80%? Whatever it was, when I was put on supplemental oxygen, I suddenly became "alive" again. Scariest stuff I've ever been cursed with.

We had an elderly resident in the low 70s — he got shipped out with a quickness .

I know I couldn't think straight, felt like I was having a heart attack, and could barely tell you where I was. It's nothing to play around with. I can't stress that enough in this thread. Get an oximeter and start monitoring.

Get Plaquenil or the generic hydrochloroquine (200mg TID, 10 days) and azythromycin (z pack).

Good luck, my man.

I’m starting to wonder if the sickness I have been having may potentially be COVID. About a week and a half ago I started with a horrible headache above my left eye. My eye itself hurt as well and felt like it had pressure behind it. My brow bone was sore as well. It stayed pretty consistent and medication wouldn’t help. It finally tapered off a little earlier this week but keeps coming back in spurts. No known fever. Consistent upset stomach. Sneezing. Coughing. Had a sore throat last week but it’s gone. General malaise. No telling where I could have contracted it. I’m a teacher so who knows.

You could very well have it. I don't think seasonal allergies cause malaise unless you aren't sleeping or have overworked yourself to run things down.

I just finished a two week dosage of Amoxicillin yesterday too. I have been having chronic URIs all this school year and ENT prescribed that. But this has felt different. That headache has been insane.
