I’ve seen numerous threads on the best fried chicken in Baton Rouge. How does this place rank on the OTs list?

I've heard mostly bad reports from that particular store. Not the same as the real one.

Bluebonnet location is solid

A good Blue Store is one of the best places to eat in Baton Rouge.

A rare occasional miss but most times hit. That location fry rice is much better than Bluebonnet.

I didn’t try fried rice or red beans at bluebonnet, but the wings were awesome. If I had the choice I certainly would prefer the flagship plank road location. Just too far at the wrong time of day

If you are in that area hit up the one on Jones Creek instead. It is better.

Umm, the flagship location is on Mills Avenue right off the Southern University campus.

I've tried a few times and find it pretty salty. Prefer the Shack.
ETA: Blue Store in general. Never been to that location.

The Old Hammond location is their worst location. It’s still decent but nowhere near as good as the other locations.
The original location on Mills is still the best. But the Highland location by LSU is excellent and so is the Bluebonnet location.

Enjoyed the red beans and rice at the Highland location.

Been to the Jones Creek location and the location on Plank. Both are great!

The red beans are the best in the city imo.

Egg Rolls are solid as well.

The one on Jones Creek is legit. The fried chicken and the wings are some of the best i've had. The fried rice is legit and the Sunday Red Beans and Rice is amazing. The egg rolls are phenomenal as well.
Too bad my insides don't like Blue Store as much as i do.

Cant wait for the one on Burbank and Starring to open. Ideal Market and Blue store will be the death of me.
