Spending a little time in Colorado this Summer and looking for restaurants recommendations in these places:
Vail
Colorado Springs
Buena Vista
Breckenridge
Frisco
We will have kids with us so places appropriate to bring them. They can behave in just about any restaurant though.
Also we will be driving there so any restaurant recommendations along the way from Natchitoches, LA to Colorado Springs. Our drive brings us through Dallas to Amarillo and then from Amarillo up to I25.

Nathan Gresham, who was the chef at Beausoleil here in BR for a long time, is now head chef at The Broadmoor.
Phantom Canyon Brewing has some great food (and beers).
Urban Egg was a really good breakfast.
The Rabbit Hole is a cool little underground restaurant.

I love this town.
Eddyline Brewing has a nice taproom restaurant down near the Arkansas River. Their brewery facility near the stoplight (there's only one in town) has good pizzas.
Quincy's for steaks. That's all the serve. You just tell them what size and how you want it cooked. They may have a prime rib special depending on what day you go. But it's an inexpensive, no frills steak restaurant.
Take the kids to Louie's for ice cream while exploring downtown.

Fine dining: Relish, Blue River Bistro, Hearthstone
For kids: downstairs at erics, Mi Casa, Fatty’s, Kenosha Grill has a great back deck, Breck Brewery

Ember in Breck is an excellent fine dining restaurant. My favorite fine dining in town right now.
Giampetro's for Italian, though I understand Fatty's is fine. I just haven't been there.
Eric's in very good pub style atmosphere. The Distillery is good.
Briar Rose is upscale with good service and food.
Empire Burger is excellent.
We love Wasabi for a mom and pop style sushi joint.

Smokin' Yards BBQ , Idaho Springs, on I70, is a "must stop" joint.

In Breck - downstairs at erics has the best wings I have ever eaten. They are called eric's famous wings or something like that. Also, a great atmosphere for kids with pizza and games.
Also in Breck, stop at crepes a la carte - one of the best dessert locations I have ever been to.

Sweet Basil in Vail is always a great dinner.

Hit up Briar rose for happy hour in the bar. Excellent coctails.

Briar Rose is one of the restaurants in town stocked with professional staff and it shows.
But the food at Ember is a notch above. And our server was a pro.

Definitely hit the Rabbit Hole in Colorado Springs. The Warehouse is also good and my favorite breakfast place is King's Chef. Order a Grump.

Good call. I don't know why I didn't think of that one.

Also Trinity Brewing and Local Relic in Colorado Springs

They make good beers, especially sours but the owner is an a-hole.

Local Relic
A nice setting in an old church downtown. Their beers are a little bit out there sometimes but if that's your thing, give them a try.
I also recommend Red Leg on Forge just off Garden of the Gods and Pikes Peak up in Monument. Cerberus as well.

I enjoyed Cerebrus. And they had Sip of Sunshine on guest tap when I was there.

cool trip
we are going boulder to breck to sand dunes to Mesa verde to telluride to Buena Vista to Denver in mid July. Buena Vista looks very cool, we rented a cabin on the creek with a hot spring tub/pool. Rafting should be crazy with all the snow runoff they will have
