How to dispense soda from a Kegerator

I have been getting pressure from the family to add a soda specially diet coke from one of the taps.
Has anyone done this? I have tried to find real answer but the only thing I can find is people talking about corny kegs, but not specially how to do it.
Can someone explain to me like I am 5 how to add diet coke to one of my pull taps?

A kegerator is simple. The CO2 pressurizes the keg and the liquid comes out.
It’s a much different process for soft drinks. You need the CO2 to mix with a water supply. It’s done with a carbonator. The carbonated water then needs to mix with the bag in the box (at the gun or tap). It goes to a regular to keep the pressure right. Then it goes to a tap and normally over a cold plate or through coils in a machine that keep it cold (you could maybe use a kegerator for this, but after about 2 cups of soft drinks everything else coming out will be warm).
Here is a decent video for you.
It’s not practical at all to have them combined which is why restaurants/bars/etc have them in completely separate systems.

i made a club soda tap which was easy but coke-type soft drinks are a whole other thing. you'll probably not want to deal with it. that shite is bad for you anyway
hook up a club soda tap and add flavorings/etc to the cup

Or just get a sodastream and enjoy the cost savings and ease of use.

Thanks to all of the responses. I will look into the club soda tap and syrup option to start.
I just don't want to add anything else to the countertop. I was hoping to keep it all on the same system.

Not going to be easy as others have said.
While not diet coke, you can get Abita root beer in a keg if you must have something.

I've known a couple of people who have done this,
Fill keg with distilled water (or RO)
Carbonate water to proper pressure
Release pressure on keg
Add syrup in the proper ratio
Repressure keg
Dispense soda
It's not as good as installing a wunder bar and soda pump with a BIB, but it works.

Thank you BigDropper, this is more of what I was looking for. it will be a much more manual process that Beer or Rootbeer but it does complete the request.
I have even read where people just but 2 liters, dump them into the keg and then dispense.

Lol, why not? Happy wife happy life I suppose...
You can just get a 2.5 gallon Corny keg and make the soda in there. I wouldn't do a 5 gallon in case you don't drink it all.
ETA: The corny kegs original design was for soda. Homebrewers made them into what they are today. The current way that soda comes in just the syrup made the corny kegs obsolete.
