Not familiar with Lake Charles, any decent place to get a good lunch?

What are you looking for? Like style/type?

Nice atmosphere, not typical fried seafood spot.

We recently enjoyed LUNA Bar and Grill downtown and 121 Artisan Bistro.

That's going to be Steamboat Bills and/or Seafood Palace, so stay away.
If you're downtown, there are a few options. Lunas is pretty well known. Tia Juanitas has spins on Tex Mex and good options. Buffi's is good for poboys. MacFarlains is an Irish pub type place. All are going to be pretty heavy but Luna's has some light options.
If you're more in the casino area, Nina Ps is pretty good with a pretty expansive menu. Darrell's is there if you want a poboy (Special use to be legendary but I haven't been in years, but it is also super heavy). Zeus is solid Med food.
There are also a bunch of tex mex and asian places but they're about the same as you find most places. Not terrible but nothing special.

Mazens Grill located at 217 W College St, .... parallels 210 between Ryan and Lake Streets. Food is legit

There is only 1 correct answer: Darrell's for "the special with jalapeño mayo". Wear a bib.

Pronia's is solid for a muff or meatball sandwich. Pizzas are honestly really good too. I'd add Toga grill (mediterranean) if you're south of town which is also close to Nina P's if there's a wait at either.

That meatball sandwich is awesome. On paper, it doesn't sound like anything special but it is very good.

Pro tip: ask them to cut up the meatballs and put it on a pizza
