What is the Popeye's biscuit recipe?

The fact that the recipe posted has no lard tells me it's not even close.

If you read the reviews, most say the biscuits are decent enough but not popeyes.

freeze butter, chop it into little cubes, mix it in with bisquit dough, freeze, place on pan, cook.

Popeye's puts something called "biscuit dressing" over the tops of the just cooked biscuits. I think it has butter and chicken flavors in it and that's probably what makes the taste a little different.

I wanna say they used something like cream cheese or something. I was talking about this with someone the other night at a party but now I cant remember cause of the buzz factor.

I would try melted butter with some chicken base somehow incorporated into it. Maybe add a small amount of water. I think this is why the biscuits taste pretty salty.

I think this is also why they have something of a yellow color.

Here are the ingredients for Popeye's Bicuits and Biscuit Dressing:

BISCUITS: BLEACHED ENRICHED WHEAT FLOUR (BLEACHED WHEAT FLOUR, NIACIN, IRON,THIAMINE MONONITRATE, RIBOFLAVIN, FOLIC ACID), BUTTERMILK (CULTURED LOW FAT MILK,NONFAT DRY MILK , FOOD STARCH, SALT, CARRAGEENAN, PECTIN), PALM OIL, BISCUIT BASE (ENRICHED BLEACHED WHEAT FLOUR (ENRICHED WITH NIACIN, REDUCED IRON,THIAMINE MONONITRATE, RIBOFLAVIN, AND FOLIC ACID), LEAVENING (SODIUM BICARBONATE, SODIUM ALUMINUM PHOSPHATE, ANHYDROUS MONOCALCIUM PHOSPHATE), SALT, SUGAR, SODIUM STEAROL LACTATE, SUBPORTION BLEND (SALT, SUGAR, SPICE), ISOLATED WHEAT PROTEIN),POTASSIUM SORBATE, NATURAL & ARTIFICIAL FLAVOR.

was about to go get a big mac until I read that it had azodicarbonamide in it, I really dont like the flavor of it
