Where is the best poboy in Baton Rouge? Roast Beef? Seafood? - UPDATE

Looking for somewhere to go on Friday for lunch.
Well, we went to George's Southside. After seeing several tables order the thin fried catfish (not poboy or roast beef), we went with that. It was probably one of the best catfish dishes my friend or I had eaten. Everyone in the restaurant seemed to order it on Friday. Thanks for the recommendations.

Best seafood is George's Southside. Best Roast Beef is Pastime or The Chimes.

Something I’ve never really understood is that you can’t get a poboy in BR that’s anywhere close to the really good options in Nola

Pastime
I had this about two weeks ago. If that is the best in BR, then we have a long, long way to go.
That said, I’m more of a debris and gravy man and Pastime is not it. It may be the Poboy for some though. Lacked flavor.

Zeeland has a good pot roast poboy.
Roccos is OK.
Jed's does a decent job with seafood poboys and roast beef.
Randy Montalbanos has good seafood poboy.

Best roast beef is probably the one at Jasmine’s.
Best seafood is hard to say, but one of my personal favorites is the shrimp po’boy from Cork’s.
For weirder po’boys, I like the turducken po’boy from Bellue’s, and I also really like the shrimp philly at Goodwood Grill.
Places in Baton Rouge have a bad habit of a terrible bread to seafood ratio. They often use soft but stale bread that isn’t even toasted, and like 2 tiny shrimp on each side. It’s embarrassing. I could call out a few places directly, but I’ll refrain.
Good po’boy bread should be a little crusty on the outside (but not hard as a rock like many New Orleans establishments), but soft and chewy on the inside. There should be a lot of shrimp. It’s okay if the shrimp aren’t huge as long as there’s a good ratio of meat to breading.

Jed’s has been closed since August. Supposedly for “renovations,” but with a restaurant you never know if it will reopen.
