Now that you have to pay for everything on MFP, is there an actual free alternative app that you can keep track of of intake? Calories, carbs, fat, protein? Along with logging workouts.
Would rather not pay for anything.

Change your location in the app to the UK, everything will be free again

Cal AI is the best calorie tracking app that I’ve found. It’s like $3/mo, but so worth it for keeping me engaged on a daily basis with calorie and macro tracking.
Not sure about the other apps, but Cal AI allows you to scan bar codes or just take photos of your food. It also imports calorie output from Apple Health/Whoop, which I use.
The $3 is worth it in my opinion, at least until I get to goal weight and have learned all the effects of the various inputs/outputs and trends.

What is it you have to pay for? I use My Fitness Pal, and I'm able to track macros and calories without paying.

The main page, or "Dashboard" as they call it, should have your calories
At the bottom of the page on the app, click on "Diary" which lists the food you've logged so far. Scroll to the bottom of that page.
There should be a button that says "Nutrition." Click on that.
At that top of that page should be choices of Overview, Calories, Nutrients, and Macros.
Clicking on Macros should show you carbs, fats, and protein.
I admit its very convoluted.
Let me know if that doesn't work.

I see where you can adjust the macros but it seems to only let me calories. It will let me scroll through different numbers for carbs, fat, protein, but I can’t save those unless I’m premium.

Free version lets you set / adjust calories, macros etc in the goals section under “more” button.
put all your foods under diary, it will save foods you eat regularly and has good search function. Only thing it doesn’t let me do is scan barcodes…
